Talisman, that means yours isn't going in.

And I like how he tried some patterns, but I didn't like the doubles that much. Too many for places that do not need them, at all.

I really enjoyed the song. It's nice to have some in the Challenging/VD range, and the stepfile seemed really good. Nothing too complex (no weird turns, one jack that wasn't too hard, jumps were fun).

As for the intro being quiet, it made me think of Song for the Nihonjins...turn the speakers up a little and it's not that difficult.

I really liked the song, good melody, good percussion.

dunno snapps... the steps to the song (which would definitely get in) aren't spectacular but they're better than some of the crap that's gotten in. But a possibility.

to elaborate on what I said earlier about this file and what everyone is saying: the beginning snares are too quiet to step; there's no need to overstep it like that. The rest of the file was technically fine though.

Talisman, if it's the song I'm thinking of, then yes, it's being saved for 3rd.

Steps are mediocre, due to lack of difficulty (which is ok, we always need easier songs for less experienced players) and the song was ok.

Good stepfile, very spot-on for the posted difficulty. I had issues with the overly quiet beginning, but the song is good, the steps are solid, and it's pretty fun. Significantly better quality than some of the more recent Song of the Weeks (e.g. Gradeus), despite the lower difficulty.

Well done. You managed not to make it too redundant in its patterns since the song has the same rhythm in it a lot. And I think people are true n00bs if they found that jack a flaw. Get over it, the song isn't fast enough to make a difference.

I'm normally not a fan of quick doubles at all, but these seemed to flow nicely, to me.

As you can see from my earlier SS, I'm not that good at FFR, so maybe some middle-skill input?

Bottom line: I liked the steps and the song. Not my favorite by any means, but I enjoyed playing it.

If only I could do that in real life

anyway, about the beginning. If you turn it up there are notes. It's a bunch of cymbol sounds.

If you guys think I overdid it, I'll keep that it mind when I make more stepfiles.

P.S. Front page still says Gradeus

there's a time for discretion between what you step and what you don't step. It would have been far better just to step the crashes every four (three?) measures until the background became loud enough to do eighths to.
