All I have to offer mechanically to this question is that I 100% -did- receive Svaz's letter in the night regarding the PM going to roundbox.

So something out of

A) Roundbox lied about redirection to Soundwave- and -does- have the PM but won't say so because it's incriminating

B) Soundwave- lied about not having the PM and won't say so because it's incriminating

C) X I Z M E C H A N I C S caused a portion of Svaz's abilities to work properly and another portion to fail for...some...reason.

D) Svaz lied about sending the PM to Roundbox despite sending a message to me confirming that she did.

for me, soundwave's behaviour this game really does feel like he was a sleeper agent lost wolf that was activated

it's actually just a tiny tiny bit, but I was thinking about it due to it revolving around two different points coming up in discussion. Honestly don't think the role is very good at all, though it is quite thematic with my character. I'll probably be okay claiming as other players (considering they're not lying) would be more worthy of a nightkill.

Out of the possible liars in the night action scenario, I don't see a lie happening where a different person is the one to call it out? if that makes sense?
Like if roundbox was lying here, it'd be dumb to lie about it in that way as it's easy proof of so if soundwave comes out saying they didn't receive the message.

yeah, like it'd be really dumb if svaz lied about sending letter because you easily were able to confirm or could've easily denied if you actually didn't receive it to call them out.

And the fact that the letter went to me confirming it was him -and- me confirming I did get the letter and it said what she said it did both happened -before- roundbox said "Yeah sorry I had them sent to Soundwave"

So if Roundbox was a wolf all he had to do was say "Yeah I got it, it just confirmed the theory that the rest of his flip was the stuff we got from Daikyi's flip" and we'd have gone "Okie dokie" and carried on with the phase.

There's no reason at all for wolf roundbox to lie about getting the PM and I don't think there's anything that could have been in it that would have been bad for town roundbox.

I don't think the lie is the Roundbox lie. I think it has to be either that Soundwave lied about getting it, or Svaz lied about sending it to roundbox or some unexpected and unknown third element interfered in just that one part of the power cycle around all this.
