When I wake up. I feel greasy and gross if I spend the day without showering.

If you shower in the morning and worked or w.e during the day you're basically taking that into bed AND sweating it all into your bed. I'd rather just sweat rather than mixing sweat, dirt, and whatever else is on me in my bed.

I take a shower at night before bed so I don't get my bed dirty as fast. Otherwise I'd feel the need to wash my sheets more often. I wash my face in the morning though.

If I shower before bed I'll still shower first thing when waking up. I can't start a day without a shower and if I feel dirty before bedtime I'll just shower twice. But yeah if I absolutely had to chose, I'll choose showering when waking up lol.

As far as the bed, I usually either sleep on the bed in my regular clothes or straight on the floor, so I'm not overly worried about making it unclean too quickly.

Surprised at the amount of night showers.

...I used to be that way when I was still going to school, lol. Now I always do it in the morning. Washes the sleep right out of ya if you've woke up when your REM cycle was deep.
