Have you actually used hard drugs? If so, I sincerely urge you to just quit cold turkey right now. It will only get harder the older and more dependent you become. I personally believe that it is incredibly difficult to overcome depression while using drugs. You need to devote all of your mind's energy to truly commit to healing and drugs take up too much of that thought space.

I have used a few hard drugs. I used lsd and acid for a week then stopped. I still smoke weed on a regular basis, but I'm stopping slowly. Depression has gotten a bit better, but I still have a few problems
