        At last, they were ready to push forward to the city with its impregnable defenses. We know from the record that they don't make it inside. Instead, another difficult battle ensued where the Trojans had home field advantage. Their archers launched a cloud of arrows from above as the ground troops came charging, overwhelming the Greek forces.

        After quite some struggle, the Greeks drew away, but not without having to carry back the body of their comrade:
