    No.

Gas prices are going up by the hour. Highest i've seen around my small town was $3.27, and that's not cheap.

Edit: And that was yesterday. God knows what it is now.

      RE: Re: RE: I don

      Christ, we just got owned.

Up to $1.50 a litre. To all you imperial -.- that's about $5.68 a gallon, after the conversion $4.83 USD.

Christ, in just one day O_O

And yes, there are people stealing gas left right and center. There was a huge line up for gas because people think it's going up to like 2 dollars a litre, and there were like 3 or 4 people that drove off without paying XD

The way that alternative fuel cars will get in the market the fastest is if the government funds the research on making one. If you leave companies to do it, they will be afraid that they will lose money. The government has to be willing to take this risk to help all the companies. It has to promote alternate sources of fuel, especially after the hurricane. I wouldn't be surprised actually

I read a National Geographic article (from like july or june or something) about energy efficiency... the number one most efficient source of energy was wind, followed by coal, solar, and nuclear, I THINK. I'd have to look at the article again though.

At least each of us has a roof over his head, right?

Seriously, my mother called me today, more excited than I've heard her in a while because the electricity is finally back on, after four days. This morning she was doing laundry in the sink.

I get tired of people complaining about gas prices flying up. Especially in the wake of a crisis like this. The day the WTC was attacked all anyone could talk about was what gas prices were going to go to. The principal of my school even volunteered to sit in on teachers' classes while they ran to fill up their cars. This has been no different. Yeah, people express their concerns over the victims, and then they express their concern over the damaged oil refineries. No crisis is too great that we Americans can't throw a fit when one of our assumed rights is hindered.

By the way, Mississippi has the lowest gas prices, although my mom said right now they've got a ten-gallon limit and they don't allow people to fill gas cans. That might change now that power is getting back on and people don't need fuel for their generators.

My dad was tell me how during Vietnam people would line up early in the morning by gas stations before they opened up to get gas. They limited the amount you could get, and it was really expensive. He said it was a huge crisis. I hope this doesn't happen.

I've got to agree with the last thing stretchypanda said. Anybody who wastes they're money (and the world's oil) on something as retarded as a H2, especially in this day and age, deserves a swift kick in the front teeth. Status symbols are one of my biggests pet peeves, right next to flakes and wiggers. Every time I see an SUV limo, I want to drive straight through it. There is absolutely no reason for the H2 or any similar vehicle to have ever been made. A "hummer for the suburbs" is one of the biggest oxymorons I've ever heard. I can gaurentee that anybody who owns an H2 has never taken it anywhere that wasn't paved, nor ever would. The same job can just as easily been done by a station wagon or a minivan. Boohoo for your loss of "bling", but you can take your bling and shove it for all I care.

Something went wrong. Despite the fact that it didn't effect the gas that the stations already had, gas went up IMMEDIATELY. Now that it's getting better, it should go back down, IMMEDIATELY.

One of the first things you learn in Economics is this: Things can go shooting up in cost, but they will never go shooting back down. They take their time and walk their way back down to the price they were at before after an inflation hits.

Is Squeek the new Q in Economics? Find out as I actually take more of the class!

Man, I love listening to people complain about how they "can't even afford to drive their car anymore." It's so grand.

I guess you could call it Carma.

Man, I should totally have my own sitcom.
