My outlook isn't any better than it was. But if I win D3, that'll be the biggest insult to everyone in it, and some people out of it.

Gonna try mirror just for lulz and because I'm starting to mindblock the opening trill.

Lol the same happened to me. My record run has one avg and miss from the starting trill. Mirror cleaned them both but the rest is so much harder with mirror imo

D3 feels like a personal battle. Like here I am barely holding on to round 4 more by being a stubborn fuckwit than having any semblance of skill and every song is just like "Will this one kill you, will this one do it?"

Round one my computers were broken and I had to play a song on my sisters laptop (itty bitty keys) to get by. Luckily, that was the round where if you played a song at all, you got through.

Round two I got my computer back like a day before the end of the week, and had about 30 minutes to play that song due to work.

Round three I can't believe I didn't fail in. I scraped some points to put me 2 ranks, and like 200 points above pee water two days before it ended. Could not up that score and am shocked that I finished as the cutoff (That song was absolutely brutal for me.)

Round 4: For the first time in what feels like forever, not only do I have a day off, I have TWO IN A ROW. So tomorrow, I will be playing on and off all day trying to get back out of the pee water (I should be able to do it). People will come home and ask "Why is your right forearm so much bigger than your left?" and the answer won't be the masturbation joke everyone expects it to be.

...Is it worse to be thought of as someone who had a day off and jerked it all day, or someone who had a day off and ffr'ed all day by people not in the community?

Maybe I'll just take the former title. Whatever.

But yeah. I understand where you're coming from soundwave. I've been no more than a few ranks above cutoff every week so far and am astounded im still here. I have no idea where my overall rank put me as a seed in this division, but I do know every bit of logic tells me I should have been out at unpause the heat.

Meanwhile in D5, I'm setting my autofail to 1500 points (60 goods equivalent) and sometimes I can't even get to the long 8th stream. I'm constantly falling behind in the streams because of the minijack lead-ins, so it's rare I get to the 12th jumpjacks with less than 30. I was really hoping for top 16 after my placing in previous rounds, but looks like it's just not going to happen...this ending is just too brutal.

I mean, I'll keep playing, hoping I can pull out a god run, but I gotta stay realistic.

I am surprised because you had the best score on round 1 and Heartache in parts is similar.


Honestly I did not like the song (not the patterns) but I tried to do my best with some warmup in Stepmania and a lot of restarts.

Yeah got 1st in 1st round and 2nd in 2nd. Then had a bit of a break and half arsed round 3. Just can't seem to read it anymore, might just spam it tomorrow and hope for the best, but tbh I have other things I need to be focusing on. Good luck everyone!!
