This is a huge deal, and I'm pretty sure there's at least one post around these forums somewhere where I mentioned that the internal offset of the engine needs to be changed so that things can naturally be played on 0/0 in as many situations as possible. The more people that can play the game "out of the box", the more people that will likely be retained. At 30 FPS, 2/1 is pretty much de-facto, and even if the global isn't 2, the judge offset is almost certainly going to be 1 for anyone transitioning from a different engine or just playing naturally.
An in-game engine tutorial would be quite nice, and some sort of sync test to help calibrate visual/global offset would be great too - but... that's not something that can really be facilitated at the moment, it would seem.
