I know things have been rather quiet around here for a while now, we've all been busy with personal events and such. Due to the Official Tournament looming on the horizon, I'm trying to prep this back up for some new spurts of activity. Look for some changes in the near future, most likely corresponding with placements as a start as people get back into the arrowsmashing mood.

Hey everyone! Happy to announce that we're gonna be starting up Season 2 of the EMG Rivalry!
The OP and Spreadsheet have been updated and are all ready for some arrow smashing goodness.

Note: this Rivalry is aimed at D4, D5, and D6 players. To those in the lower divisions, take a look at the NIA Rivalry, which should also hopefully be up and running shortly. (unconfirmed)

The spreadsheet has a new tab made for Season 2. The participant list is currently blank, due to skillboosts, inactivity, and general cleanliness purposes. Here's a quick summary of the Rivalry, though I'd still highly recommend everyone to read through the OP to become familiar with how the Rivalry operates.

The basic overview is that each week, divisions are given 3 songs to play spanning their skill range both above and below. Everyone is encouraged to play each of the songs to the best of their ability and submit scores here to see how you're doing! In addition, completing all of the songs for the week will make you eligible to earn credit rewards from the weekly credit pot, which grows as more people participate. I'd love to see participants keep at it and participate every week, persistence definitely pays off!

The song difficulties have been tuned to adjust for the division boundaries on the leaderboards. The chosen songs will span a variety of difficulties, aimed from songs that are more comfortable and give a chance to practice PA skill to harder songs to push the limits of your ability. In turn, pushing yourself to practice and improve your scores over the course of each week will ideally lead to seeing all of you climbing the ranks! We've had many players join and be promoted to various divisions, and we'd love to see some new people come in.

We're here to get better, but we're also here to share our experiences with friends! There's an ongoing Skype group (yes Skype is ancient no not everyone has Discord yet) for people to hang out in. If you'd like to join the chat, see the OP for details. If not, that's totally fine! We still love seeing activity here in the thread

If you want to get involved with the Rivalry, PLEASE post in this thread expressing your interest in joining! We'll take a look at your division and add you to the spreadsheet. The first week should start up fairly soon, I'll give some time to get membership all settled. Season 1 members, I'd also like you to make a brief post (or say something in the Skype chat) mentioning your intent to continue so I can keep track of who's still around.
