Re: TWG CXLII - A Storm of Hard and Boiled [Game Thread]
you can't go around saying "oh i think charu is a wolf, because he thinks sunfan is a wolf" because that reasoning is a piece of shit and shallow as fuck
when it becomes "i think charu is a wolf, because his basis of thinking sunfan is a wolf and his responses to every single post has been ignoring the questions and attacks on his actions and behavior, rather responding to the shallow unimportant questions", then a read is a read, and i can invest and look into the read more deeply, and give it more credit

like, in the end, everything that charu's saying only serves to reinforce my argument - especially every time he ignores the bulk of the reasoning of the post, and tries to get away with the simplest response possible

Re: TWG CXLII - A Storm of Hard and Boiled [Game Thread]
So, the simplest way I can explain my strong belief that sunfan is a woof is by... well, quoting everything of his that I found to be incriminating to him in my eyes.
I won't comment on any of them, I'm just gonna let the quotes speak for themselves. If you want me to write it out, then lol, I'm not a big fan of super long posts.

Rolehunting

the only situation where you're not completely dumb for choosing tracker over vigi is if both of the other town roles are forced to claim today, and town deserves to lose if that happens
pick vigi between the two
while it gives the hider one more target to die to, that shouldn't matter too too much if what I'm playing with works out

I may or may not be the hider, but if I was the hider I would be the hider hiding behind x person
x is yet to be determined
(this is a preview to what I have planned)

big post its pretty easy to follow though
HIDER STUFF:
Similar to how everyone claims a green-check in the champion's game, everyone should soft who they would be hiding behind if they were the hider. This gives a chance for the real hider to give their info in advance, and, in the event of their death, will give info regarding someone who is most likely scum. ITS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THE REAL HIDER DOES NOT LIE ABOUT WHO THEY HIDE BEHIND.
A brief showing of the order of operations of roles
Tracker/vigi chooses their role (Role conversion)
Hider chooses a player to hide behind
Woles/Vigi (if present after n1) choose a target to kill
Detective/Psychologist/Tracker (if present after n1) choose a player to investigate*
Hider dies if hiding behind a killing role (Wolves/vigi) OR if the person they are hiding behind is shot
Other Deaths
Investigative Roles receive results
*It is important to note that the Detective and the Psychologist receive their result AFTER the killing has taken place, making the Detective slightly stronger and the Psychologist slightly weaker.
So, with this in mind, the Hider has some interesting interactions with some of the roles, namely the vigi. By each player hypoing their future "hiding" for each night, this gives town info in the event of the hider's death. This is stronger than each player claiming a green check in the champion's game, because the hider can soft a future red check that gets revealed to town in the event of their death.
Yes, the hider does die if they hide behind the vigilante. But this isn't really a bad thing. Aside from the SK, which is obviously not present in this setup, vigilante is probably the hardest role for scum to successfully fakeclaim (if you don't know why I won't spoil it). So, if the hider dies, and mafia one way or another fakeclaims vigi, fun things will happen, and town will be in a pretty alright position still.
Everyone should, at some point before EOD, claim who they will be hiding behind. Its the best possible plan. If someone wants to be a dumbass and claim I'm rolehunting for this post, go ahead, I could use a good laugh today.

and yet, it either gives myself (the hider) proper cover to leave who I am hiding behind OR gives the real hider proper cover to do the same thing
so it doesn't matter who starts it, really
Possible distancing?

I had her as a scum-lean early most of the last game we played together until she had a really good response to me calling her scum
she'll probably do something at some point that I find either REALLY wolfy or REALLY townie, based on what I expect from her as a player

Re: TWG CXLII - A Storm of Hard and Boiled [Game Thread]
is pandering to town necessarily bad?
you're still offering no reasoning, so write that shit out fucko
because all i see from thos quotes is sunfan trying his best early game
regardless, this is a tone read, doesn't really offer much, especially given that it can be taken many ways
rolehunting
he's not rolehunting. he's trying to understand the best case of action for the mechanics, and there's nothing wrong with that
if you really wanted to be consistent though, you'd have been harping on me for also doing the same thing when i came into the game.
distancing
this would be true if both sunfan and bun are wolves, and you're still assuming that sunfan is a wolf. the assumption is there, but you still have never given any good concrete reasoning
