Don't worry I don't think there are any more unfair stars lol

In fact I found the ones in world 3 to be easier on the whole than those in the previous 2 because they werent all cheaty and stuff

Reach - but do you know why it's called Nexus? That's the good part

Got the star in B-5... tricky/fun one.

Locating the fan was by far the hardest part, as it was actually in a random gated area *outside* a level. I had been assuming that I needed to take an in-level fan.

Just goes to show you that it's typically worth going everywhere you can in a given level, because you never know when stuff like that is hiding in plain sight.

With respect to that puzzle in B5

you don't need to bring the connector out of the level lol. Just connect it to the blue generator in the level and rather than jumping off, simply place the connector on top of the ledge and connect it to the obelisk.

        Yeah..

after wasting like 5 minutes trying to jump out of the level with a connector, I noticed the 'EXUS' and put two and two together :P

            The island levels are gorgeous.

All 3 done -- and I am now officially sick of tetromino puzzles XD

Oh yeah, way too many tetris puzzles on the islands, but, they're completely optional, and the ones outside of those areas I felt were fine and appropriate in #.

Also, A3...LMAO. I don't know what the devs were thinking and I still love this game, but F that puzzle.

after trying literally every conceivable in game solution, I hypothesized that the lamest possible solution would require me to decipher the glitched QR code. I mean, who in their right fucking mind would add that to the game. I've never deciphered a QR in my life, barely know what they are. After some googling though...

              ...fml

                Re: The Talos Principle

Scanning every inch of every level has been paying off. Holy moly, level C3. Lots to do in that one.

                Findings in this level alone:

                -Musical snowman
                -Han Solo trapped in carbonite
-Gandalf-quoting creature falling from the cliffside
                -Jetpack(!!!!)
-Crazy puzzle under the bridge where you bring in a bunch of shit, which leads to a frozen creature in this cavern thing. I haven't found anything else to do down here.

The star was also quite tough to get.

Overall, there seem to be a metric ton of easter eggs in this game. I highly doubt I'm going to be able to find them all. Mad props to the devs for major attention to detail. Sometimes you'll come across something that doesn't look quite right... and it's usually for a reason!

Case in point: Go back to Hub A and just... observe.

Grats! Another thing that made that star difficult (aside from the point you raised) is that:

It wasn't immediately clear why that QR code wasn't displaying anything. For a while I assumed it was a bug.

                EDIT: saving for later, ignore:

Yeah, there are tons of easter eggs.

A list of cool ones ones I've found:

Psychedelic hallway with pillars, trees and weird things on the ground in B

Guy laughing and throwing money around at the end of a creepy hallway in C

Developer Gallery with cool pictures in C

Underwater cave with a weird creepy tiki in it

                  Shaking room

Jet pack - and subsequent cliffside puzzle with a frozen guy inside

Okay, so I finished C7 and Elohim opened up the Heavenly Gate or w/e. I have all stars up to this point / two Gray/Star worlds completed. I have yet to go into the Tower. Is anything going to reset if I do the Heavenly Gate ending now, or should I ignore it and go to the tower? I don't want to lose any progress or need to redo anything.

                        Re: The Talos Principle

You have automatic saves every time you get a new sigil, you can go there and then load a previous save before it happens. I actually did something dumb about that, I picked the axe and went to every place with wood walls and then I went to the door only to realize that I had to do everything again because nothing in these gave me sigils. /oops

So, if you unlocked stuff or get stars, make sure you go grab an extra sigil to save. Otherwise, go for it. Eternal Life \o\

You can do everything with one game in terms of endings if you're careful about it. Achievements may take some redo for certain flags that trigger events @ Milton by example.

I hope these doesn't count too much as spoilers as it's not information directed at how to solve puzzles.

I want to be sure I'm absolutely clear so I don't make a mistake -- so if I just walk in and see the ending, I can reload from the main menu and it'll put me back in the game after my last sigil in C7? (i.e. where I'm at now)

A3 star made me want to quit the game because it felt to me that this logic could be used in the later puzzles and force me to use walkthroughs because I don't have a cellphone to decipher QR hints. Thankfully it's the only puzzle of that kind in the entire game and everything else can be done normally.

I'm now 100% (unofficially, across two files I AM TOO LAZY TO FINISH EVERYTHING ELSE AGAIN ) for the main game now (guideless!), so back to Gehenna I think to see if I can get the remaining stars.
