Some metal makes for some nasty files (i.e. bands like Fleshgod Apocalypse), we can always delve into there too, but like breakcore/etc., not many people like that kind of music.

Make certain rates (1.1, 1.2, 1.5, 2.0, etc.) count if we have enough server space. Some easier songs make great 90+ files when sped up (no joke).

I don't know about "beautiful music", but you'll definitely see an example of an extremely hard song next round that's not dnb/breakcore/idm. I hope you'll enjoy it.

I had a massive problem trying to find an appropriate song for D7R7.

I listened to the full discographies of about a dozen artists (including t+pazolite and DJ clonepa) and I've listened to probably about 80% of all songs from BMS of Fighters.

Anyone can make a 90s dumpfile but making a good file (one people actually want to play i.e. not RATO or System Doctor) that actually feels like it is appropriate for the music is a huge challenge.

Thankfully the D7 finals fit this pretty well, but consider that and Death Piano... it's really like one in a hundred thousand songs that will actually work for the 90s difficulty range that are not buzz music.
And of course the Death Piano file FFR has is awful so that song is kinda wasted when it should be a nice high 90s file that people actually enjoy. I feel the same way about some other songs too, such as Purgatorium.

Can someone AAA or two people tie in D6 so that Bolt thrower in a chinese restaurant gets put ingame for a tiebreaker?

Bolt Thrower would work for a 99 but it needs a lot of fixes that Luis and I haven't made yet.
It's also definitely buzz noise music rofl so it definitely does nothing to address the concerns about finding 90s that aren't buzz

(Same deal with Robotomy and odd22, I'd imagine)

Bolt Thrower is pretty crazy because it goes beyond just being noisy, it's actually violent.

I personally would love some more 90+ classical songs, classical genre still feels empty to me, yep fiffer could use some more classical songs.

I'll just say if anyone links music FFR has permission for that is not buzz music and that would legitimately make for a good 90+ file, you can be sure me or Nathan or someone else will step a file for it within 24 hours.

I'll be waiting. Tell me when you figure out it's not easy

Something that I tried to step years ago when we got permission. I don't think there's a song in the game by this artist either.

They're almost always composed with the idea that a human being will perform them. Even the most difficult compositions don't have the raw speed that would challenge most D7 players because they're getting converted from 88 keys to 4 keys, and from ten to four fingers. Unfortunately they don't reach 90+ too often. I've spent lots of time just browsing youtube listening to piece after piece. Occasionally there's something fast but not in the 90s, and it's always a gamble if it's actually something in the public domain or that we have permission for. If it is, it's also best that it not just have one or a few difficult parts over a long duration since that can make for a frustrating stepchart, but it is pretty common for it to be structured like that. And then after all that you need a usable audio file of it being performed (MIDIs tend to sound pretty bland and unappealing).
