When I played the file, it felt like the stepper was trying to be relevant to the panning of the music rather than the pitch, and it was the only file to do that. The same melody occurs in the piano near the end of the music and it's correctly PRed there, which makes it more likely that PR wasn't their top priority in that first bit. So I do think you should give it a chance, and whoever stepped it would probably appreciate that.

I actually meant the first vocal section, if I recall correctly. I have no problem with stepping sound panning.

I mean srsly hi19 I hadnt played the files before asking you to do the same for group D but now that I did nevermiiiiind. E3 JS dump is actually rly fun to me so idk why stepper is a culprit cuz he butchered your theory of dicksync vocals but yeh I d k.
E12 simple compared to your technical dreamfile but accurate PR and fun patterns. idk why not sure yet.
also why bother typing to almost every comment that you think you know who the stepper is ??? just post a list of your guesses or dont lmao ??

Well I mean I'm talking about whether or not the sync was right. Most of the ones I listed as not dicksynced had arrows that either felt noticeably off on my sightread, missing syllables, or just straight ghost arrows (after playing it on FFR, my own file included. Oops.) It's not about color for color's sake, but rather the colors frequently result from doing a good job syncing things that are not perfectly quantized, like the vocals in this song. There's obviously a line between being perfectly synced and playability, for me that line trends towards files like E11, obviously for you, Carlos, and others it doesn't.
I think it's a valid comment to note what approach the stepper took towards sync. "Not dicksynced" isn't nessecarily an indictment if you really use the advantages not dicksyncing can give.
Show me where I said it wasn't fun? I agree it was.
That said, I was rating the technical accuracy. Because it was mostly snapped to the nearest 16th or 8th, there are some parts where there is for example two arrows while three syllables are said in the music. That's not a subjective issue, so I was pointing it out. There are also parts where I wasn't immediately sure where the layering was coming from (I'd have to open it in DDReam to really be sure) so that prompted the "kind of a JS dump" comment. A little rude, sure, but with the combination of heavy layering and 16ths to things that didn't sound like 16ths, I'll stand by giving it that label.
Was going to then I learned that all my guesses were wrong (and said as much in this thread) so I didn't bother lol
I did a really bad job guessing this round, for sure.
Lots of people I didn't know that well surprised me in impressive ways (E11 obviously, but that's not the only one)
And lots of people whose styles I did know well obviously did things that threw me off.
What I'm getting from this is that I shouldn't just sightread and drop my first thoughts in the thread.
Gotta edit them for careful use of language or else it's more trouble than it's worth.

Dicksyncing is a choice most of the time. I didn't dicksync this file because I wanted to take a different approach. Stuff like velocity, champion free verse and loner I did dicksync because I wanted the vocals to be the main focus and have everything else play filler when it synced with the vocals and not the other way around.
