wtf!? I recognise an early draft I made for a file, but it's not the file I uploaded for sure! This is an unfinished product... thats fked up, alot of work down the drain.
1- Accurate in places, inaccurate in others, color theory, fun patterns. I enjoyed it but it's not a technical masterpiece. I think I have a guess for this.
2- I'm sorry I quit out, intro felt really off to me.
3- Kind of a JS dump. With icyworld not in the group it's immediately obvious to me who the other two most likely culprits are. Can't be sure though, this one is harder for me to call.
4- For the fact that this is a ctrl-R file and like, blatantly incorrectly synced, the patterns were strangely fun. It's among the best objectively wrong files I've played, which I guess is a compliment.
5- Heavier emphasis on percussion fills. So much color theory. REALLY COOL color theory to the piano solos. Unfortunately the vocal parts felt off. Definitely someone who knew what they were doing.
6- Really nonstandard layering choices. Good color theory, well-made PR, actually cut the song, appropriate BPM change use. I have a solid guess for this one.
7- Not that synced vocals. Didn't strike me as too terrible but not that noteworthy.
8- Used PR in solos. Passable vocal sync but not dicksynced. Weird layering choices in places, color theory. Fun but not that technical. I have a really good guess for this.
9- Super weirdass cut. Decently synced but not dicksynced vocals. Just felt a little strange to me because the song was out of order but it wasn't bad.
10- Low layering, low dicksyncing, but pretty high quality patterns. Felt like a great file from a bygone era, so to speak. I think I know this one.
11- BY FAR the best file in this group, I'd give it 9.5/10 for a few suspect patterns but damn this file is good. Highly dicksynced, highly layered, actually stepped the drums in the second piano solo. Really technical. Important to note no use of JS and the layering in the very last measure. I know who this is.
12- Pretty simple file. Not sure.
13- Not super dicksynced, weird sometimes inaccurate layering and noticeable inaccurate PR and weird jack usage.
EDIT- btw didn't have time to fully play through some files so I kinda judged some by the first half only so if some of the stuff I said was wrong because it doesn't apply to the later parts of the file that's why.
Also no offense intended with any of these notes, they are pretty unfiltered thoughts as I sightread so some of my notes might be overly critical as I was essentially looking for errors as I played.
Most of the files were pretty fun, it was a good group.
no fucking way as in your guess from my reviews was right or way off
honestly probably shouldn't have posted that, that's a REALLY stream of consciousness and i didn't play any of them (except 11 <3) enough to make judgement quality notes at all
oh well
