Play the first 20 seconds of the file, quit.
Right click on "Speed: 1.75".
Enter the number there into judge offset.
Play again.

Your amazing count should always been higher than your perfect count!
You'll see your good count drop substantially if you do this.

Very much this, also look into standalones, Windows Aero (Noteably DISABLING it) and any other performance tweaks all over the forums.

If on Win7 and using standalone, right click on it, hit Properties, head over to the "Compatibility" tab. Check off:

"Run this program in Compatibility mode for:" - Personally I use Windows XP SP3, not sure if this actually helps or not.

"Disable Desktop Composition"
"Disable display scaling on high DPI settings"



For reference. That helped me out a lot, also in your standalone you can set your quality to low which is a big help as well.

No matter what I do I cannot improve. I'm just going to let Psychoangel691 submit my score of 3-0-0-0 (32575). I'm leaving for today now anyways and I won't be back until the next round starts.

WOW! so I've been super busy and haven't really played much in two weeks and I log in today, play a few warmup songs to get my fingers loose before playing this round's song and I sightread AAA it (Which is now my new best AAA). I still can't believe this just happened.
