Why submit to this? The name. A DCP1 exists so if a second one is released, most people would expect the files in the next pack to be of comparable quality to the first pack. The dark chancellor name is a bit more relatable than the two packs you mentioned. If I'm going to submit my files to a pack, I want it to be a pack that will get the most downloads. I believe DCP2 would get more downloads than those two packs you mentioned, combined

You have an awful reputation at running packs, and almost all of the criticism (what you have called flaming/shitposting) is legitimate and merited. What you said is frankly delusional.

You're ignoring the fact that I did and released 5 other successful packs, and whatever bullshit did happen, happened six fucking years ago. And what I said about the name, is that if a first pack exists, logically, you would think a second pack of the same name, if ran by the same person/people would be of comparable quality to the first. Never said anything about making it magically better.

You guys just keep trying to throw shit at me, and I'm going to defend my right to do a project for this game until I die. Not a single one of you has any real right to say I can't. I'm going to start requesting bans for anyone who keeps trying

If people see nothing wrong with the premise of your pack, they're going to submit to it regardless of what others say (bmah submitted to your pack, as an example). I hate to say it/reiterate it, but your first mistake was changing the name to Dark Chancellor Pack 2, as opposed to PPP3: all people were doing at that time was giving you some slight flack about how you hadn't completed a number of projects: move on and progress as normal. The moment the pack name changed to DCP2, the thread died because of the general disagreement with the reasoning behind the pack, and who was running it (sorry to say it again, I'm just reiterating what was said before and not now).

You're far from the only person who hasn't completed a number of projects and you're also far from the only person who stepped away from a project after spearheading the start of it. With that being said: blaming people for the failure of your project is simply not the right thing to do, man. Telling people that if they don't support the cause to leave is perfectly acceptable and probably the best step of action for you.

That was completely uncalled for, and a number of people saw through what you were trying to do there. You can't sit there and blame people for having a generally negative attitude towards you and then respond with a negative action yourself -- it's not right.

Here's the blunt part: if this pack doesn't go anywhere, it's nobody's fault but yourself. Remember something very important: community packs requiring submission often take outsider content to get anywhere. It hurts more for you to assume a role out of arrogance (saying that this pack is important because of the name) while saying that the quality is extremely high, because people are going to generally dislike you, especially if they don't agree with the leader in question, and they're going to be somewhat reserved in submitting because they might not want to hear what you want to say. Likewise, if a good pack leader can be strict and stern in their pack judgments while offering a generally positive attitude about what can and can't be fixed during submission (see: GLoVE and ODI3), people might be more willing to submit and learn. Being elitist and arrogant is not going to help you.

Assume responsibility for everything that happens in your pack, and just keep working on it. Just because people like myself don't agree with you being a pack leader in this case doesn't mean that you can't get the job done -- while I'm completely against you in finishing this pack in actuality, there's nothing saying that I won't get this pack when it's completed. I am an avid player, and I'm always looking for more content to play.

I understand everything you're saying, and I won't bitch at you this time, but do look at everything I've done in this thread.

Any time I have been negative is when there were people bitching that I shouldn't be doing this for whatever reason. When I'm actually not defending the fact that I can do whatever I want for my own projects, I've been perfectly reasonable. I've posted a review for the 5 files submitted at the time (only person trying to move this forward right now). Did you see any negativity or anything wrong with that?

I already explained the name change too. It did start as PPP3, but PPP3 is a pack that has both unreleased and released files in it. Since something like that happened recently, I decided not to do that, and so I wasn't going to use the PPP name. I chose DCP2 because the other packs I did had community names associated with them (RFpack, Xoon 5), combine that with the fact that I didn't want to start a new name, and I was left with DCP. I later stuck with DCP2 BECAUSE everyone here was acting like such fucking children about me doing this that the name actually fits what the community appears to be like right now.

There could be another name change, I don't know. Right now, there won't be.

Halogen I hope you don't take what I say as being antagonistic, but you're generally wrong about many points and rebirth is doing fine, it's just that no one is submitting to a community project.

You know that I think you're a cool guy and I respect what you've done for the community but you're really just making things worse right now rather than helping out. I would go into more detail talking about this but I'm not home and typing on my phone is a pain in the ass.

And the same goes to everyone else that's been harassing rebirth. Just stop being a little bitch and either help out or stay out.

no one is submitting to a community project.

Yolomania 3 is still getting plenty of submissions. No one is submitting here because most of the judges are irrelevant relics and no one likes the elitism that comes with this pack name. Not to mention no one besides rebirth has done reviews yet.
