The dark chancellor name is about high quality. You submit files, we review the a bit more harshly than normal packs, in attempt to get more people "better" at making files. To do this, we normally use judges that have extensive simfile making resumes, but right now I don't have that luxury.

Why submit to this? The name. A DCP1 exists so if a second one is released, most people would expect the files in the next pack to be of comparable quality to the first pack. The dark chancellor name is a bit more relatable than the two packs you mentioned. If I'm going to submit my files to a pack, I want it to be a pack that will get the most downloads. I believe DCP2 would get more downloads than those two packs you mentioned, combined

The DC name is more about elitism. It didn't have to do with quality in entirety and a glance through the pack from someone with good sense in judgment could easily pick apart a number of things in it. This isn't to say that the pack wasn't decent in the past, but it has aged poorly and very few people play it. People with strong MA like myself -might- touch the pack on occasion because there are some decently hard to score on files that are of reasonable quality and difficulty, but you're targeting a very isolated area of the community.

Also, given that this pack is posted on FFR, I am very willing to bet that the community will be more likely to download untitled stepmania pack considering that it's run by two stepartists who have proven to make strong files to very complex songs, multiple times. There are various users in here who have -no- affiliation with these Fission/ilikexd that are coming in here and telling you (implicitly) that you're wrong about how much attention this pack is getting. If people truly cared, you would have had submissions by now. Instead, people like myself are diverting our attention to untitled stepmania pack because a.) the quality is going to be higher, and I am confident in saying that given the comparison between proposed judges of this pack and the two judges of that pack and b.) the people who are running the pack are welcoming of submissions, not completely flaunting them around as if it's a privilege to submit.

The DC name is not "more relatable" in any sense. That pack is, to the active community, irrelevant and dated. The only people that it relates to is the stepartists who were a part of that, and that's not exactly calling attention to a lot of people given the general elitism that was behind the group. None of the stepartists care for "the name". If that were the case, the exact opposite would be happening -- the untitled SM pack would have had no submissions. Instead, it's got very high quality submissions from various users because the judges have extremely stringent (but fair) objective guidelines.

Also, just because a simfile artist doesn't have an "extensive simfiling resume" doesn't mean that they aren't valuable as a judge. I would not hesitate to consider ilikexd/Fission/AlexDest/samurai7694 as judges because they are all very versatile in what they create and how they judge.

(Also, on another note: if we want to really go into pad creation, my resume is quite nice given that I have content in PIU Pro 2; not that I'm interested in judging for this anyway.)

Sorry, but you haven't shown an iota of care for this pack, and your attitude has been absolutely terrible.

You know, from someone who said they're indifferent and neutral about me and what I do/have done, you sure love to try and pick apart any serious post I try to make. Do you do this for everybody? I never said that it is some special privilege to submit to this pack. I only said that submissions will be judged a bit more harshly than normal. I also have 4 submissions already despite the nonstop bitching. And your comment about how some people have proven to have made strong charts to songs before makes them qualified to do something. Alright good for them. What about me? I've made plenty, over one hundred simfiles, and at the time of release, MANY were considered very good files. I've made 5 keyboard packs and each one of them, at the time of release, were considered very good. I've done just as much if not more for this website and community than you or almost any other person, and I'm not talking about just stepmania. Just because what I did was a long time ago doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I'm doing this pack because this is something I used to enjoy doing. I used to enjoy playing this game and giving things to the community, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with trying to do it again, REGARDLESS of what might have happened in the past. I would like to enjoy doing it again, BUT YOU ARE MAKING IT REALLY FUCKING HARD. But please. Make another lengthy post about why I'm wrong and you're right. I'm trying to do something I enjoy? Oh hell no, I'm not allowed to do that. Nobody is forcing you to submit, or to download it, so why do you even care? All I've done is lay out my expectations on what I want this to be. EDIT: one more thing -- I am indifferent towards most people, but like I said: your presentation as a judge has been cocky and the way the pack was brought about is ridiculous. You automatically assumed your pack would be the best, you think the name alone is worth downloading, you even had the cockiness to add the "IT'S HAPPENING.GIF" to the title as if people cared so much

given your flaking in the past too, everyone has a right to generally be against you until you actually take action and get started.
