blue switches need to go up a bit after actuating before they can be actuated again, so they're a bit unideal for fast things

idk maybe he does do well on blues, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't do better on browns

i dont see how the release being so much higher than the actuation point does anything but inhibit jacking

i tried playing with blue switches for like 2-3 months convinced i would get used to them but i could never jack passed 120 bpm and i gave up and bought browns and instantly went back to wristjacking 180

Yes, they are the same kind of switch. I would recommend either red if you like lighter taps or black if you are manly enough. I really liked blue in my black widow stealth but after a certain speed they start dropping notes or double activating. Never had the same problem with my black switches. Though it can be less of a problem depending on the brand of keyboard, how clean you keep it, and how far you let off the keys between notes.

Black/green share the same spring
Red/brown/blue use the same spring also

Black stems are exactly the same as red stems aside from colour
Same thing for blue/green

Blue/red/brown spring in a black will feel exactly like a blue
Blue/red/brown spring in a green will feel exactly like a blue

Browns and clears have different stems, and the spring design is different from the black/green so they'll feel different (worse) with a spring swap.

I have black and the only time I really used them was during the tournament since I don't play as much any more. Jump streams definitely got tiring pretty quickly and rolls were tricky for me to pull off. I got about 10g on Shatterscape and had to switch to a rubber dome keyboard to get the AAA.

I'd say the heavier mechanical keyboards are good for training, and when you want to get some really nice scores you should switch to extremely light keyboards. Laptop, K120, etc...

I like my blues but I was never good at jacks so I can't say how much harder they are on this thing. One thing that should be theoretically possible is lightly "dancing" over the keys, since the actuation point is not the same as bottoming out, but I guess I'm just too ham-fisted for that.
