I think my rating was partially influenced by the absurdly high rating it had on RYM (4.24/5?). I just think that it's nothing overly special - just pleasant alternative rock. I couldn't get into the album at all (aside from Let Down), there's usually one factor or another that just drives me away from the songs - generally the vocals or the instrumentation. I can completely understand the appeal though, but it's just something that doesn't click with me and I don't think it would for a while.

My actual rating is probably more towards 3/10 more than 2/10, but eh.

And yeah, Alcest is pretty good. I should get to Shelter eventually...

That's pretty much what it is, an accessible and pleasant alternative rock album with a high replay value that everyone could like. There's nothing groundbreaking in it. I do prefer songs from The Bends though.

Les Discrets is pretty good too, you should check it out.
