bocu no pico is just about the older man and the kid. the sequals are about the kids experimenting with eachother lmao. I watched them out of curiosity with 2 other people (just confirming that I didn't creepily watch it by myself)

Wait three months as your hype and feels will go dormant, then watch the movies. They'll awaken it again in the best way imaginable, they basically overhaul what made the anime so great to magnify the best parts.
