Feedback for eric time:

Main issue in the track is the percussive section: The kick and snare are way to ditty and thin to really drive the tune enough. The snare is very soft and for that type of music, you need a snare that will pack a punch with a nice crunch to it. .
I would say possibly look into getting some stronger 808 samples in there.

The hat pattern (in my opinion) should be halved, so it's x-x-x-x- instead of xxxxxxxx as it leaves room for rolls at the end of phrases and in my opinion sounds better.

See how the kick and snare cut through the rest of it (of course there is side chain involved here, but they're still rich in the lower mids). Random tip: In that Baauer remix, there's like a gated mini ride/splash in there at the beginning of every drop, that sometimes works too.

edit:My only negative comment (and it took me a moment to unleash my inner picky ness) and this is purely an opinion is that pluck thing sounds to much like a sytrus patch
