Took 3 times a long time ago and got 4 then 2 then perfect. I get the feeling I'd end up doing the same again.

Are there any online eye tests that aren't about color?

I don't like this test, can never really do well on it :c. Then again I've had 4 eye surgeries since I was 5 so bleh.

I got 14 but I think my laptop screen is partially to blame. Depending on how I angle it the colors look different :/

That is a pretty bad problem with TN panels. You should look at some IPS panels and see how beautiful they are and the colors barely change for all 180 degree angles.

Generally higher refresh rates though, but it is negligible with modern panels.

Yeah I'd say so. For me, the blue-green line was pretty much guessing at some points and exchanging two hues looked no different so luck comes into play if you don't have good acuity lol

I was taking advantage of this. If I held my screen at a certain angle, I could see small differences in the brightness of tiles and it helped me a bit. I just did it again without tilting my monitor and got 50 lol

I couldn't seem to really find a good angle. It was also bothering my eyes a bit to look at. I didn't sleep much last night and have a headache so I probably shouldn't have tried this haha.

I'd like to be able to get a better computer with a better monitor but that wont be for some time. Jobs have just been too unsteady and I need to finish my degree.

I'm not going to pass this unless I can get very lucky. The last time I took it I did okay when I fucked with my screen's contrast and vibrancy though~ otherwise just a failure as expected.

First time I took one of these tests was when I was 13 at an optometry and I basically got none of them right.

I'm starting a job in a paint store and I am going to pick colours for people's houses that will stay there for years.

My color acuity went from being above average to perfect while working at a paint store, I'd see it as a very fruitful experience. As long as you can figure the harmony between colors, you shouldn't have any problems. Sollicitating contrast sensitivity may happen in certain occasions in a day's work, but it's possible to develop this skill within a certain range.

Also VGA as opposed to HDMI or DVI has crappier color output and could probably mess up this test.
