Yeah Epidermis is NOT a 91, just by thinking of like Schmollbluk and M8BT and Rain (YMCK) alone, this file's way easier than all of those (and they're all in the 85-90 range). Hell, even my version of Apocynthion Drive is harder than this, and I'd put that in the 84-85 range. Put Epidermis onto like an 87/88 level, if even that... the only reason I'll even give it that is the length and the colorglut bursts near the end...

rated similarly to stinger, no single retarded part unlike many other FFR songs

i guess i didn't refresh so that's why i was able to play epidermis v2 a few times
i'd bump it down to like an 88/89 but i have no real reason to say this other than because i feel like it's pretty easy except for the ending

Epidermis looks pretty cool.
Seems like the difficulty sorta builds up, beginning looks like something I'd be SDGing and then it progresses to dense icyworld jumptrill kind of stuff that's pretty rough on stamina, then it finally goes to the color note weirdness that I can barely read.

you can judge epidermis as 88 or lower by looking at replay but when you ACTUALLY play it, it's pretty draining and some patterns are kinda tricky

the only file in d7 that gamma hasnt sightread blackflag on l0l

e) 19g/55g/59g by gamma, aj and ymia on first playthrough

epi v2 is not < 89 by any means whatsoever, especially with other high notecount FGOs like RWoB and nana v3 sitting at 87/88

This^...it might not be as taxing to FC as Rain or M8bit but it is definitely harder to AAA than Stinger

The bursts are 3 times more strange than Stinger, and I've BF'd Stinger 3 times at the end, so I'm not expecting to get through this round. or maybe I will

If you don't improve on your 2-0-1-2 I bet it'll be the cutoff. Dossar still has to AAA (who's really expecting otherwise), and unless Anthony "TrillZ" Halogen shits the bed I feel like only one other person will sup that PA.

It's nice to finally have a non-AAA fest in D7 gg Ji.

It's going to be tough for me -- I think I can do well, but Epidermis is a fucking killer file. I'm really happy that it's in the tournament, because it is beyond nerve-wracking, haha.

EDIT: also, anyone trying to judge Epidermis without playing -- it hurts quite a bit with all of the implicit anchors and amount of triples; it's really taxing to accent everything while maintaining a solid PA and keeping just enough stamina in your hands to tackle that nasty ending drum-solo.

Ji: really happy that you got this file finished up for the tournament, it's mad fun

Exactly, which is why I'm not aiming for an AAA. I'm pretty happy with top 8 at this point.

I might end up trying really hard since I'm out of stuff to do for the next 3 months, though (except prepare for busking).

It's surprising how much that trilly part that signifies the end of Epidermis v1 really psyches me out for the rest of the file...

Also that burst at 1750 is fucking stupid.
