As a danmaku enthusiast, this game is absolutely fucking incredible. I whole-heartedly agree with Carlos by the way: this game will be always be superior to following the music in comparison to SM, haha.

This game... I'm ashamed I ignored it. Now that I'm playing it, holy shit.

I thought this was going to be some shitty "oh, the bullets are produced by any music with it's waves" shit.

It's not like that at all. Fucking amazing.

I bought the + version. Having a blast so far.

The auto-gen sucks though. Is there anywhere I can download custom maps?

Okay after messing around with it a bit more the auto-gen isn't all that bad you just have to pick good music. If anyone has the Camo & Crooked Zeitgeist album, pretty much every song on there was pretty cool.

Once I figure out the editor I'll post a map for Turn Back the Time from said album.

Question: where the hell is zen mode in the + version? lol

In the main game and user levels, you must first finish a level to unlock its zen mode. It'll appear next to the level on the Song Selection screen.

For Auto-Gen songs, hold Z when the song starts to play in zen mode (you'll see "zen mode" listed with the song details in the bottom left when the song starts). If you missed it, you can always hold Z, then press R to restart.

                            do it!

I actually intend on making a map for Stories Can Wait by Virtual Riot (thanks for bringing that song to light, Razor <3). I have so many visual ideas to bring to it, and I've actually got a pretty good grasp on how to use the editor already.

The cool thing about this game is that charts that are typically good for more advanced rythm game stuff (i.e. Sharpnel, Dragonforce) kind of suck for this kind of things. Songs with a lot of variety and a lot of dynamic become really interesting. I'm really looking forward to playing around with the editor when I have some time this weekend. I think it'll be fun to share some maps as well

Yeah, I'm down for sharing maps. It's pretty easy to do given that it outputs to a XML file -- all you'd need is to package the mp3 and xml, and then put said mp3/xml in the soundodger folder.
