And a big Tru Dat to jewpin. I've noticed the movie industry has been redoing a lot of old movies, or making sequels to things that should never have had sequels to them. You know there's a Lady and the Tramp 2? That's just friggin ridiculous.

The speculation now revolves around whether or not the "Technical Demo" of FFVII intimates that there will actually be a full remake of the game for the PS3, which is something that fans of Final Fantasy have been begging for for years. Final Fantasy VII is still arguably the most well-regarded of the Final Fantasy games, and speculation has been mounting about whether or not Square might attempt to cash in on that popularity by issuing a remake. Considering that this is a company that's announced at least three other games, as well as an all-CGI movie, based on the characters and storyline of FFVII, we can't rule anything out at the moment. Square didn't state anything for certain at the press conference, but we will of course have more details as they come along.

Bah. They should have just remade the scene where Sephiroth stabs Aerith/Aeris (whatever name you choose) in the back, this time complete with blood and actual sadness instead of overwhelming joy in that scene.

My friend brought it over and we played through the part with, eh, I think it had a power reactor, not sure. Anyway, just from that, it had nice looking cutscenes and balanced difficulty, and we had played for 10 minutes. I didn't even play, either.

There are far worse games out there, sorry. =\

I think it is all speculation though. It is probably more than likely that at one point or another they are eventually going to remake all the Final Fantasy games(well at least 7,8,and 9). Chances are that if or when they remake it, people who havent played any of the Final Fantasy games will get impressed and might get hooked on the series.Anyway I think it would be a big boost for Square Soft.

I'd have to say FF9 is the best FF game I've ever played. I wouldn't remake that one because when they remake games like this, they have a history of failing to do it well.

You're an idiot. Personally, I despise the entire series, with the exception of FFT.

Secondly, PSX era games are not old at all. If you really want "old" Final Fantasies, look at 1-3 for the NES.

Someone should frickin remake Tales of Phantasia or Tales of Eternia using the PS3's power. Then I'll be happy.

Andy melonakis is having his own show on the 26th at 10:30/9:30C....Lol thats the first thing i saw when i clicked the link (advertisement) and wow. i hate andy. hes like 34 years old with that problem where u never grow and yeah. anyway about the Vid...i didnt like it. It didnt say anything about the ps3. It would have been better if they showed a few fighting scenes and a few Summons n stuff but yeah.
