Well, the eight finger set up that I use is very comfortable and allows you as a player to keep a steady tempo on consecutive 32nd step runs and even faster steps as well. For instance, in Frenzy and Reality I can get up to about 3-400 combo untill my fingers get tired or I blink.

If you want, I'll make a seperate forum post about how it works. And yes, it can be used for double and single play. In fact, I'm pretty confident that if I make this post, the style of play I use would become a standard format of play within a few months.
