The funny thing is that it wasn't intended to be, but it likely will be because you guys found this round so easy. The file was intended to progress from the current round to the next round based off of the fact that this file was rated a 61 (and not the lower rating that you guys are perceiving).

tbh slam the door doesnt feel easier than a 60. 60s just arent that hard for D4 (at least this batch of D4 players )

the only thing I don't understand is how more people didnt AAA Walk on Water. The number of AAAs on Slam the Door is pretty standard.

Dammit. For the past few months I've been sneaking on my stepmum's computer while she's out at work as it's the only computer in the house that can play FFR well enough. She's been unaware of this secret dalliance of mine even though since I started her keyboard has gotten greasier and the letters 'w' and 'e' have been rubbed off completely. I've been shamelessly spending more and more time with Dad and less with Mum just so I can feed my FFR habit. But last week I got caught mid-game by my telltale stepsister who arrived home unexpectedly and now I think I've been rumbled as I now require a password to access her computer whereas I didn't before. Do I tell her I need her personal work computer for the next month so I can compete in an arrow game tournament online? I have no other decent machines to play on. Just some crappy macs and a laptop that is almost dead. I think I maybe heading out this round.

jacks, even relatively slow ones, can be hard for players who aren't used to them or haven't trained themselves on them. It took more tries for me to AAA this song opposed to what it took to AAA walk on water.

I completely agree with this. I don't like jacks all too much, but I didn't want to fall out of the tourney even more. My AAA on this file came from 81 online plays and more than 400 offline plays. It finally took me bumping my speed up to 2.1 or 2.2 and muting the song just so I could concentrate on nothing but the pattern and timings.

It might not fully be a 61, but it definitely is not a mid-low 50s.

D4 is going to be quite the interesting division next round if more people AAA it.

Would be a breaking point for some, and of course I would imagine the song selection will be a lot harsher in terms of difficulty.

Not changing the file based on the performance I've mentioned this quite a few times. I expect harsh cutoffs in the first half of the tournament and the progression is as it should be. Next round should hold off more people but still isn't like super harsh. Round 5 everyone gets a decent boost aside from d6/7 cause there's really nowhere to go with them without murdering them.


Also, looks like I gotta play UC again. Been busy the past few days so I haven't played. I'm confident I can AAA this though so not really worried.

I forgot to mention that I had the worst gastroenteritis last week, which meant that I was too ill to play for most of the week and now I no longer have access to my favoured computer for FFR . I am going to be desperately trying to find another computer over the next two days.
