If I edit something I have released and submit that, is it OK? Or does it have to be unreleased in any previous form?

To add, I vote for Nick Skyline's cover. There is nothing wrong with ScylaX's one, I just prefer the style of the earlier.

Eh, I honestly prefer unreleased in any form unless it's a rather big improvement, change or deviation upon the original work.
(which I understand is vague, but I am sure you are able to use your judgment to determine if your piece meets these criteria)

Also, I will gladly do mastering services, or attempt to once I obtain my new headphones. They have been paid for and should ship either this week, or, if I am unlucky, Monday.

I think mixing chiptune is hard as fuck 'cause it's pretty easy to go overboard and lose a lot of that retro feel in the process

i'd offer help anyway, but since cOOlbOi beat me to it, eh

Never mixed chiptune before, so I think you should try also, and he'll select which one is "superior" (hint: probably yours haha)

hey if someone can sing - or at least rap - in japanese at 160bpm (16th notes) hit me up. I have no problems pronouncing the lyrics in this song, but at this speed I'd have trouble even if they were in english :I

otherwise I'll just pick something else to submit, I have plenty of material lying around

also, I think it'll be hard to find someone here on FFR who can knows japanese and can perform, especially at such high speeds.
Vocaloid or other voice synthesizers (thats not the right term is it) might be needed, as suggested...
