It's been a while since I played my steps on SM (I play with the MDaWg ITG engine), is Heavy like Expert or Hard? Expert being the hardest one, is it something like "Challenging" or "Oni" in SM? I confused.

Heard Blackout all summer long since I... you know what? I really have no idea where I heard it from at all, it just happened to jump into my ears whenever it had the chance. I have nothing against it, much better than average pop.

I'll step it if I get any chance tomorrow or on the 19th but it's gonna be challenging with everything I've got planned for the week. Got some nice ideas, and a cut is more than necessary.
It's a very limited song choice though, what happened?

Just sent mine. I don't expect winning, but I enjoyed the tournament. Really different and out of my confort zone, but it was fun.

I'd really rather people not all use the same cut though. The reason I didn't put up a cut in the 1st place is because I wanted to see people's different takes on what sections of the song they'd do. Allows for more creativity.

Well, blackout is pretty much the same thing on repeat over 3 and a half minutes, so everyone's cut will roughly be the same thing.

haven't listened to the other songs though.

I can't believe everyone is complaining about a song that is so easy to chart. Also, don't distribute a cut of the song -- if you have an idea for a cut, go ahead and make it yourself. Don't expect to get away with giving out cuts thinking that one of us won't catch if it's plagiarized, because I will catch you and you will be DQ'd. Don't cheat -- do it yourself.

I understand that, but I am trying to be fair to the people who do not know how to cut so well and rather not butcher the song with a bad cut and ultimately submitting an off-sync file due to that cut.

If people know how to cut and want to cut the song they can and probably will, this is just for the people who dont know how to cut.

Do not see the problem in distributing cuts, even if the cut is the same, as long as the chart is different does it really matter? Plus my cut for Within Life is easily reproducible by anyone who knows how to use audacity or any music editing programs (it only requires a single cut), therefore there is a high chance that multiple people would do this same cut.

Honestly being DQ'd for that is kind of ridiculous. I would really appreciate someone doing a cut for me if I didn't know how, or can't dl programs onto their computers. And like zero said, if you don't know how to use a cut program, you're going to have a bad time.
