I wanted to apologize for not really being around much this tourney, work and school has me very swamped. But a very big thanks to AJ for handling all this since I can't. As is right now I'm sitting at the laundromat doing laundry before I leave for work in a few hours doing schoolwork. -_-
<3 You're a busy bee
but I'm glad you've done what you have so thank you very much
And Aj's doing a spiffy job so thank you Aj as well, abrasive chart comments aside this is still one of the best tourneys, if not the best

I was very pleased with the song choice this round
in fact one could say I was ****ing excited when I started playing Scin's chart and realized what song it actually was
Powerpoints: excellent file utterly ruined by the color gimmick/frame placements. I really don't enjoy it as it is now, far more difficult to read than it should be and feels (to me, anyway) very luck-based on the jacks.
Really sad we have to play it like this, would have been really fun with a few framer fixes
Oh well...

I really wanted to get frame fixes done to this -- I actually wanted to fix frames on this, Where's Bill, Time Out (particularly where there were forced two framers into jacks) and Cybertron, but computer problems made it impossible.
Oh well, "dealing with terribly framered files" has always been an unfortunate skill required for playing FFR, might as well keep the tradition alive... or something like that.
I could FC this pretty easily as long as I get lucky on the long (13) jack at the end of the slow part.
I'll whore a bit for the mid-20s FC I think I can grab, I feel this is one of those files you have to whore to get a score that represents your skill.
it played fine on sm but i guess that's because of chord cohesion and the absence of 30fps limit but i just guess d5 can now put in that much more work to get ahead of the competition cause i'm sure nobody will even get close to AAAing (oops...)
hopefully people are faring better on papa gonzales and wheres bill though

yeah... I really feel bad about it because I really didn't want frame issues to be a problem this tournament. Coupled with qqwref's replay imaging tool, I would have been able to fix things pretty nicely.
You know what -- let me see if I can get Flash working on Ubuntu; I know it's possible to emulate a slightly older version of Flash. All I need to be able to do is see the beatbox array to make changes, and re-export. I know I have a spare .fla file somewhere on my drive that I can open.

Yeah, D5 should not be anywhere near AAAing this, haha. A mid-teens FC or better will substantially put you ahead of the pack, and a twenties FC will be pretty nice for your score too. Although... someone who's good with jacks might be able to crush this, because that's where most of the difficulty lies. I've heard of a few players in lower divisions that were very well equipped to handle jacks (see: YOSHl when he had nothing higher than a 7 AAA'd but AAA'd Aim Anthem).
That burst is the one part I can't consistently AAA, but holy shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit do I ever love this file!
Ji get this on FFR with proper frames and I'll blow ever so many loads O_O
Tbh I agree with Rob, I cant rly do the [13] jumpjack section but I think its a nice spike considering the file already has a few single notes jacks and the bursts add some diversity to it.
