To play the devil's advocate, people who spend 2 years in jail and have a complete lifestyle revelation and turn a new page for the good don't ever get those 2 years back. This is kind of a similar situation, you broke one of FFR's critical rules (stole someone's car), which caused you to get blacklisted for a while (thrown in jail for a couple years).

But since this is an internet game and the crime isn't as serious, so you should get GTS combined since you obviously put in the dedication and hours to deserve it.

I'd say nay.

The, "You did it for Hakulyte, so why not for me?" argument still stands if combining your grand total will ever happen. If this does happen to come into effect, it's inevitable to doubt that members will start asking to combine other stats such as: Games Played, Badges, Skill/Tokens, Post Count, etc. I'm sure it wouldn't take a lot of time to do but it's the quantity of requests that will be a problem. Which will just leave more frustrating work for the admins to deal with. Also, while you have been active and servicing the community greatly, you were still being disobedient back when, especially on a rule that was and is still taken serious.

Anyhow, these stat combinations should happen eventually, but there's more to worry about for the site than to take care of fulfilling every member's combination request.

Completely true, thread should be more about this than me. The real issue is dealing with what you said rather my stuff. I've been trying to explain that I had an exceptional case but no matter what I said, this could lead to people requesting more and more things about stats. I also heard that they're planning to do something about this in the future, but I'm not aware of what exactly. This would change the issue from "being right or wrong" to "what should be done about requests in general". I can't really go far about this, because it's just a matter of how admins want things to be organized and it's probably not top priority atm.

Sprite got the admins to switch everything from his ZZ_Sprite to Sprite- account. Not exactly sure what the reason was, but there wasn't much of the 'you did it for him, so why not me?!?!?' argument. I mean I'm sure there are a lot of people that forgot about that, which is why it isn't brought up, but just throwing that out there. I think he should get is GTS combined.

It's not just about me getting stats combined at this point, it's also about how rules should be applied. A lot of random things happened, but it would be nice to know what to expect from now on.

honestly if they would've done it right at the moment before it became such a controversial and well known debate, it wouldn't have ever been a thing of "well you did it for him, why not me" since hardly anyone would've known.

Honestly I doubt this would ever happen. Typically people who use alt accounts don't actually get lots of stats worth asking to be combined with their main account. At this point people shouldn't even be making alt accounts, considering that they don't serve any significant purpose. Additionally, Hakulyte is the only person I can honestly see significantly benefiting from getting this GTS combined.

Why Hakulyte's situation is different is because Etylukah wasn't serving as an alternate account, but in fact his forced main one. Since the admins at the time blacklisted Hakulyte, but allowed him to continue play as Etylukah, it was the only way he could even play FFR. Then after a couple of years Hakulyte was taken off the blacklist, so now he was essentially stuck with two main accounts.

I feel the admins handled this case incorrectly in the past, and should have either banned Etylukah on sight, or just wiped his scores on Hakulyte, and let him continue to play on it after the apology. I feel this error of judgement, along with all of the effort put into getting this GTS, should be enough reason to warrant combining the two.

Plus, it was ALREADY done, and should have been left alone.
