So the polls are closed and it has been decided that it will be a non-elimination tourney. everyone is in for every round. Also, since there are so few people, this will be a 1 division tourney. If you're confused, check the OP which explains it better. Thanks all.

Also might wanna change the whole winning credits you mentioned. Since everyones going to be making every round. Maybe depending on the scores against you? Or if there around the same page if under your division, or I don't know. I never ran a tourney before I'm just offering advice.

I'm thinking along the same lines as this. It would be a good idea to offer credits to everyone who plays through the final round, since there won't be eliminations. More should go to those with the most points above 'par', decreasing with the final number of points.

Ex:

20,000 credits - RadiantVibe +2
18,000 credits - Panic4Me +1
16,000 credits - ic0slayer +1
14,000 credits - Bob bob +1
0 credits - MetalAtlas-0
12,000 credits - Hellsrequiem -1
10,000 credits - Wargasm -1
8,000 credits - Synthlight-2

Obviously the amount of credits wouldn't be the same since there are more people and I just made up some pretty numbers. :] But you get the idea.

If nobody has a problem with it, I can help out with some of the tournament (considering we live together, it would make things a bit easier). If anyone is worried that there could be some sort of 'conflict of interest', I'd be fine with playing for no credit prize. I'm just interested in helping the tournament run smoothly and making it fun for everyone.

K, so MetalAtlas will be the par standard, and weaker players will receive a score boost while higher tier players will receive a score handicap? Not sure if I follow this one...

Basically. Since Metal is a D3 player, those who are in D3 are considered to be on the same level and have to aim to beat his score on the song for that round. Players in D1 and D2 are going to be slightly 'less skilled' than him, so they may not score as well as him on the song for that round. A positive handicap would be applied to Metal's score on the song to bring it closer to what a player in that division would be expected to get. At the same time, being a D3 player would mean he isn't as skilled as those in D6, so he isn't going to score as well on their song. The negative handicap would be applied to his score to bring it closer to what a player in D6 should get.

Ex:

The song for D1 is Secret Zombie Room. Metal gets 2-0-0-0 ('cause I like picking on his lack of AAAs). The average D1 player may be expected to get a score of 22-0-0-0, so the handicap would be +20 goods.

The song for D6 is vROFL. Metal gets 35-0-0-0 (yeah right). The average D6 player is expected to score at least 15-0-0-0, so the handicap would be -20 goods.

Think of it as playing golf.

Edit: I really know nothing about golf, but I think the points would be going the opposite way?

Divisions are up! picking songs and handicaps. dont freak! remember, im trying to avoid AAA's as much as possible so everyone doesnt have the same score. So the first rd of the tournament is going to be like the second round of a regular tournament. the difficulty will be a bit higher. Like a few levels above normal
