As for the tax issue, I personally think what he's hiding has to do with 2008/2009 (IMO obvious why). I don't necessarily think McCain chose Palin over Romney for tax reasons, but rather because Palin was a strategic move to appeal to certain voter bases much like Obama was -- so he needed a weapon of comparable magnitude.

The fact that Romney refuses to release those tax returns (like everyone else has done) is what started the whole thing. Dude brought it on himself. :P

I'm barely up on my own country's politics, what's the obvious reason?

I didn't know people making millions had such low tax rates in america

The tax rate for people making money off investments is lower than regular income to promote people investing their money into the economy, but it had the downside of making it so that people like Romney who no longer work in the private sector but have ridiculous investments all over the world make tons of money with relatively low taxes. Personally, I'd have capital gains tax equal to income tax (like if you buy $50k in stocks and sell it for $60k, you'd pay income tax on $10k) but that's just me.

obama has been accused of not wiping his butt after he poops. republicans are calling him "barack 'buttstain' obama" and "a big poopy butt." when questioned about the matter, obama had this to say: "well i'm black, so why bother?"

on the other hand, romney has been accused of wiping his butt AFTER he has already flushed it down, leaving his poopy butt towels in the toilet for hours after use. many democrats are worried the state this would leave the white house in, fearing it will take the "white" out of the white house more than current president poopy butt already has. romney had this to say, "well it's just like bill clinton said when he was president, 'if it's yellow, let it mellow. if it's brown, go to town."

welp looks like I was wrong about the VP pick.

portman was technically his bet tactical choice but it appears he's choosing Ryan because he knows he's down and needs to shake up the game plan. In other words, he's rolling the dice on this one. It's also an easy way for him to take the spotlight off his taxes and back onto the economy.
