I actually plan to go for 9th-14th, because I know for a fact I can't win D5, so I plan to get TWWW without killing anyone's plans for vROFL. Will change (but fail) if everyone in Top 8 has vROFL alreadyThe above post has a 50% chance of being useless. Potentially. Maybe.

The actual funny part is, the first part is 50% true. At least, the charts were bad, not the songs. I think this was the worst Tournament so far.
I wish people didn't rant though. Like, who cares. We know you're mad cuz bad, no need to have 80 paragraphs explaining why.
edit; well, personally I thought the charts were bad. Since 1983 was good though.

T.T Oh wow powerfull that is an amazing AAA. You just dominated everyone in D5. RIP EVERYONE.
Being completely honest I think this will be my final round.. Mainly being because of my mothers condition, but also because the isolation files do not help me at all since I switched from Velocity engine to R^2 a few weeks ago and have become accustomed to it. This weeks file is very challenging compared to last weeks in my opinion of course. Sadly I have to say and as it shows.... speed is not my friend in this game... oh it is not. So overall as a player I'm not as skilled as the others in my division and I probably do not deserve a Top 8 Spot. I will fight for it to my best ability, but I probably will not succeed in doing so.
But on that note Frank I hope you win D5
Samurai for D6! (Or OWA)! You guys have to do it!
Oh and people still in D1-3! This round will be the cut off for gift bags from me so try your hardest to get top 8 to get one

I also want to note that I think the song choices for the past weeks were very appropriate for each division. Not sure why so many others disagree. The little gimmicks in each file I think are obstacles to overcome, and they give a variety of different scores each round. The tournament should be a challenge not an easy win. I probably will contribute to the prize donations next year for the 8th official tournament if I get positive feedback with it this year.

900 players in only 6 divisions guarantees that some people go in with a 100% chance to win nothing. You can complain about it or not, but when the underlying logic involves statements like "You're not quite as good as Poison-? Your opponent is Mike Weedmark," you can't completely dismiss people who think it's unfair.
The Ricky Bobby "if you're not first, you're last" attitude some people have about tournaments is bullshit though. I went in expecting to beat 5-10 people in D5. I got top half, and that's a different kind of victory.

i agree.
however, the crux of my last post was that people expect this tournament to be run perfectly in respect to them, which is not only self-centered, but also embarrassing and annoying. we should be content and thankful that we have such a wide-reaching tournament giving opportunities to all echelons of players. and there should never be a reason to complain about a file in a tournament, you either score well on it or you don't -- it's not the quality of the file or song.
tl;dr - mad cuz bad is super annoying and no one cares about your opinionsignatures are for nerds

ow ow ow ow ow. just tried to play love and justice, but I have pretty bad inflammation in my upper left arm. prob done with tackle football for a while, oops. ow **** I basically had to mash past the midway point lawl. this kind of file isn't my specialty at all... gonna take some serious practice for me to move on. we talkin bout PRACTICE?!

sorry to hear about your mom's health problems, colt. I know if I faced such a situation, ffr would be waaaay on the back burner. who knows though, maybe you'll sit down for 10 minutes and pull off a great score! that's one of my favorite things about this game... you just never know.
