Anyway, I don't see what the big ype is about FF, and I mean for all there games. I played the first one, it sucked. The second, sucked. I played Seven, because everyone said it was the best. Sucked. I haven't played X or X-2 yet becaues im afraid its just going to let me down. I would much rather play Chrono Trigger or Jade Empire, than any FF. If there is a FF you people think I should try, that I already haven't, tell me. I'll tell you what I think about it.

Wha? FFTA owns me Moogy. However, IMO the only good FF games were VII and X. X had a kind of a sappy ending for me though. However, I still think that Tales of Eternia is the greatest RPG of all time.

Okay, lemme explain why FFTA sucks.
First, you have one of the greatest games ever made, which I have played for thousands of hours and have an entire memory card dedicated to, FFT.
Now, take this game and strip away everything that made it what it is. Take away the JP, the speed-based battle system, the fantastic plot, the incredible music, everything. Now take what you have and water it down some more. Now you have FFTA.
It's even worse, because FFT fans have wanted a sequel since the game came out, basically. And instead of a game in the true spirit of FFT, they give us some watered-down crap for the GBA.
They basically took one of my favorite games and took away everything that makes it what it is. I suppose FFTA is a good game by itself, but I can't stand to play the BS that Square thinks is a viable sequel to FFT.
If you want a good GBA SRPG, try Tactics Ogre: Knight of Lodis. It is quite good, although rare, being an Atlus game.Comment

i dont consider tactics to be in the same catergor, since it really isn't like the others, they just hooked on the FF name to it.Comment

i agree. the best FF game ever wasn't really a FF game (in the same genre). they should put FFT on a pedistal (SP?)
