in this particular case, we're arguing the ability to score well on a file versus getting a full combo (over passing and failing, since the lifebar on FFR is completely irrelevant). Those who are actually accomplishing the former are actually exerting the energy/speed/etc. needed to hit the file properly, while others are just guessing their way through the file in some place or another. I could argue that Metro is a 12 for the sake of simplicity, but it's a 13 due to the amount of speed and stamina required.

I don't think either of us were talking about the difficulty of FCing though. I guess what I'm saying is that when I hear the topmost players saying a chart like Rave7 is not too bad, to me, it seems like they just have so much speed that they can't see how hard the chart is is to 99% of the active players. A difficulty system which only (or mainly) takes high D6ers into account will only be useful for high D6ers. I can't talk about AAAing difficulty on these charts but to me Rave7 is clearly harder than high FGOs like AQD, Revo, Eclipse, etc. and it would represent its difficulty better (for almost everyone) to set it higher than those songs.

Rave7 is not a 13. The 24th streams are easier than Almost There's 32nd mess (hell, even Eclipse's, or M8BT's, although M8BT can basically be cheated through jumps so whatever), and the strange ending is only somewhat more colourfully ****ed than CCCP.

I still stand by this. in my opinion subjective bullshit blah blah blah deal with it
