you should've seen the original ending before I made it more lenient

it was more like husigi's two-handed jack patterns; I found the current pattern much more easier to combo

But in short, the older charts are a lot better.

Rave7 is not a 13. The 24th streams are easier than Almost There's 32nd mess (hell, even Eclipse's, or M8BT's, although M8BT can basically be cheated through jumps so whatever), and the strange ending is only somewhat more colourfully ****ed than CCCP. I can see how I'd be the only one to think this, though.

Also holy hell Scrap Syndrome suffers eponymously... that file should have been cut and the patterns are awkward as hell. Sorry AJ, but it's easily the worst file I've ever played from you. When I look at a masterpiece like Tageri I now have to shake my head. D: It's purely preferential, obviously, but I still won't be playing it a lot.

My overwhelming love for bmah files and Kirby songs has resulted in D4's file being my favourite this round. That ending is funny as hell, but with the catchiest song this round I don't even care.

do i smile? has bizarre patterns and the fact that the speedup is stepped in a rolling fashion actually makes it more difficult for me... needs more GB2-type speedup. I choose the DF file over this one (though not by a large margin because t+paz gets so ridiculously overstepped and unfun in a hurry which is disheartening).

SOLROS is so ****ing fun and it's such a close second to Kirby except I'm biased and it's Kirby. *_* Easily my new favourite file from you, azn calc. Beautiful pattern choices.

Treasure Planet is neat because of those bursts, and it's one I'd replay.

Fish Hell is also neat, and it's a memorable 10 because of the name and some of the patterns.

And somehow WC made Throwing Fire pretty fun.

Basically by the end of my brief reviews I got tired so the easy ones get skimped.

I have to say that normally I prefer slow songs, even songs below my AAA-comfortable level, but this round's songs are my favorite.

...even though I quit out of solros and rave7.

Dude, trust me - it's alright.

Everyone that I've talked to in terms of simfiling/friends for some reason, seemed to really REALLY like this file. When I talked to bmah about it, I told him that I didn't expect the file to get many ratings above a 7 (minimum accepted rating >= 6.5) in the Hard Songs Batch...

...somehow, it ended up as the highest rated file in the entire batch (average over 8.5 @_@).

This file is a clear example of an extremely technical and accurate file that really isn't clean by any means. Believe me, if I had it any other way, this file wouldn't exist in this way. The transitions in the file are absolutely ridiculous, and play out worse than DeVouR in some spots - I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

It works great as a tournament file, but it's definitely not a file I plan on playing much in terms of rank because it's nothing short of frustrating.

EDIT: Also - fun fact: Scrap Syndrome was cut down by nearly a minute already. Finishing the file for this song was a personal thing, considering the fact that I tried charting this two other times in the past four years and never finished.

the problem I have with scrap syndrome is that it's insanely stamina draining

look at either of my replays for it, I have sdg until I get to the second trill, and then I'm so tired by the end of the file that I'm dumping goods and boos all over the place

If you play some intense SM before it, it'll feel way easier (I haven't played it yet, but it's true for pretty much everything on FFR after I play hard stuff on SM).

it's deceivingly tiring. I looked at it in DDream before it was finished, and I thought "hm, this isn't too bad."

Then I actually played it and my god, finishing the whole file with good PA is actually pretty tough.
