those big pink circles? that just means "section pass", basically it shows a circle if you have over 1/2 your life bar during a long break. if you have less than half you'll get a "section fail", a big red X. it doesn't really do anything or affect your score, it's just for show.

Accuracy isn't steady across all songs, especially since older maps have a lot of offset/bpm issues. Having the ability to change timing windows per song is stupid IMO, but it's a necessary evil to balance out the ability to change life drain rate.
Then again, life drain is a really stupid and needlessly punishing mechanic in the first place. I hate songs with high drain that have slow sections which I fail because I hit a 50 or a miss before it began.Why would you put that in your signature? You've lost your signature rights for a month.
