There is a decently high ratio of 10+ files to lower level files. The majority of the files that are getting accepted into the queue/getting in game is 8+. That is something out of our control if we don't get users to submit adequate amounts of easier files. We can't simply just have another easy song batch, because then we'll wear the queue thin of harder files. Not only that, but some people may become uninterested with being forced to create/submit lower level files, which will reduce simfile input into the queue anyway.

However, as mentioned before, there was a stipulation to the hard song batch even happening. There's no guarantee of it happening. People just need to relax, and wait this batch out. There's not too much more time left - 8 days left now?

It takes less effort than making a crazy technical chart and IMO it's more fun to make easy charts- you can be less rigid and just go with what "looks right" or "seems fun" so long as it's on sync and sort of makes sense

No really. I already have 11 more files ready to be submitted, it's going to be ages before I can actually get them in at this rate.
Even that one time when I submitted like 30 files, the good majority of them were accepted...

I remember that great discussion you had with Tass in the batch thread when you wanted to submit 45 files before school started.

There was no "discussion"
I submitted all my files. Then he bitched about it.

Which is honestly why the rule is in place, but it doesn't need to be because all the files I submitted were good. (Or a few obvious troll files which I wouldn't submit anymore)

I can understand wanting to perhaps limit the number of charts by one simfile artist, but you can do that on the release end of things. Accept all my files and just leave them in the queue for a while until you need them.
Won't hurt to have more files waiting if there's ever a slow period or you want to do something special.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but for once I think it would be beneficial to limit the number of submissions just like we did for the Easy batch. Clearly if too many hard songs are accepted, the purpose of the Easy batch is almost negated in some ways. This is why the Hard batch has yet to be finalized.

edit: I guess jx already took this into account. Expect something like this, guys - if the hard batch occurs at all.

That's a way of seeing it. The reason I think that the number of submissions are limited per user in recent batches is because they are aiming for diversity, as in as many different steppers as possible. Now, this really isn't my point of view and, if I could, I would too submit all my files at the same time just like you, but at least we can understand why they are doing it. Seems legit.

I did some judging today. Lots of [+.], but for me that's "almost [+]" and I really did feel that a lot of the files were good except for some minor issues.
