It's a requirement, after all. The majority of MMOs come from Korea anyway, though personally I don't think Dragon Nest is really generic. It's definitely far from being specifically simple point n' click.

Generic, meaning they all look the same and work off of a similar engine style. Grind/Quest/Craft/Buy/Sell/Instance/Dungeon/Party/Chat.

Sorry if I'm greedy, but that's boring as hell.

Hah, you're not greedy. EVERY MMO is going to have some form of generic and/or monotonous activity. In the end, I don't think an MMORPG can be an MMORPG without grinding, crafting, buying, selling, instancing, dungeons, parties, and chatting. It's pretty much impossible in my eyes since every MMO will have at least ONE of those qualities.

And yes, it's boring as hell. But, Dragon Nest seems to suppress the boring grinding and whatnot. At least the quests have humor in them as well.

The PvP in this game is going to be ridiculous and one of the main reasons I'll be playing it for sure.

The SEA version of the game goes into CB on 7/13/2011, for anyone who needs a way to kill time waiting for Nexon's OB.

d'oh, don't think it's possible to get the CBT key for the SEA version now... I'll just wait for OBT. Also this looks better than Eden somewhat imo.

                Re: Dragon Nest

Just gonna go ahead and bump this thread to point out that the Dragon Nest portal got a nice makeover; the forums are now actually up again, and the entire portal in itself has been redesigned to, well, be like the other portals to Nexon's other games. That being said, the OB events have also been revealed; anyone interested in playing Dragon Nest is recommended to come play on the 26th for a free 5,000 Scales for use in the CS (Dragon Vault).

Another very special event is that free permanent Loyal Dragon Wings will be provided to anyone who reaches Level 24 on a character and completes three dungeons over the course of the OB (i.e., three dungeons ran, and completed, every day). I'll see about fulfilling these requirements but I'll probably forget. Oh, and there's level up rewards too during OB, including class-specific temp cosmetic items and various doodads that are used in various ways.

                  Re: Dragon Nest

A bit of a double post but I'm going to go ahead and bump this thread to point out that the OBT is now live. And, of course, Nexon has to kinda screw things up and not have things working properly. And they had such a smooth CBT! Rambling aside, nobody's Scales seems to have been added, and the OBT 5,000 Scales bonus for the first day is missing as well. At least the Level Up event works though.

That being said I am on the Gerrant server (east sieeed). Rolling a Cleric and am gonna make him a Paladin (and then a magic Crusader). (Forgot to mention that first job advancements are up in the OBT too. Assuming they work, anyway.)

                      I played this game too.
I was nice to play i enjoyed it when i was in-game.
But when a friend of mine with which i played broke our friendship i stopped playing it and did go back to my old addicting favorite game 'Runescape'.

I recently started playing, I've got a 24 cleric on Argenta and a bunch of level 10-12 characters. I haven't really done much in terms of pvp though.

I tried this game and didn't like it at all. Not a fan of games that revolve around micro transactions to get good gear with stats.
