Lazer tag place called Ultrazone over here in Virginia. I don't go over there much anymore, but when I do, I play DDR more than lazer tag lol. I remember this day vividly:
I was hangin out with a bunch of my friends. It's about 6 of us in total. we sit around and chill for a while, not too hyped on lazer tag. I didn't want to just sit around and smoke cigarettes while I waited, so I went to play DDR. It was the Supernova machine. my friends follow me inside, I get on the machine, and the first song I choose is Dragon Blade. FC'd it, and easily gained 5 more ppl. I hear ppl clapping behind me, and I got really excited and daring, so I play Drop Out 260 lol. no FC (did fuccing terrible at the beginning, actually lol. almost ruined it for myself), but I did combo the fast ending, from the triplets to the jumpstreams
At this point ppl are cheering. More ppl are watching, and now its time for Max 300. im dead tired, but I do it anyway. excited as fucc, major confidence. decent pa, combo in i think the 300s... i forget. As soon as I pass the song. no bullshit, crowd roar behind me. I was on top of the world. I make my way outside to get some air, ppl are talking to me about how good I was... while im smoking a cigarette in front of them lol.
Good memory for me. too bad that was almost 2 years ago... and I haven't been there since, now that i recollect lmao.
As for FFR... there were about 15 ppl in my trade class a few months back. I don't get mad at that. They just fail to realize that a brain is capable of reading patterns, just like how people sightread piano pieces.
What pisses me off the most, is when people call me a no lifer.
A while ago, I had the 2nd highest score in the world on an iPod Touch game, Doodle Jump. The game has been downloaded over 5 million times! So when I nearly beat the world record, I had about 5 to 10 people per WEEK, sending me messages on facebook. Saying stuff like this:
"You must have no life for spending so much time on a single game. Dude get a girl, go outside, chill with friends. If you don't have any, make friends. It's sad to see people waste their lives just so they can get to the top of the leaderboard"
This was another message that was sent to me, sorry for the stereotypes and everything, but this is how he wanted to express his hatred:
"How asian of you to spend your life on an iPod Touch game. I'm surprised your parents haven't punished you for playing video games instead of ...."
I don't even want to complete the entire message.
I quit playing that game 8 months ago, people are as*holes.

Most people I've had watch me play is like 20-30. I'd be playing in a computer class or something, and people would watch and be like "seriously....Is this all you do all day?" I'm not that great at ffr or anything, but it's enough to make stupid people think..."WTF?" :P
Most people i've had watch me play DDR was like, 15 people who crowded around me at the movies when I played it for the first time in a year :P. It wasn't FFR, but Stepmania. I had to do a class presentation on any "how to" topic and I chose playing Stepmania. There were about twenty people in the class. Mine was a class of about 25 four years ago. Our teacher decided to have a class 'talent show' near the end of the year. My classmates' acts varied from skits, music instrumentals, and singing. What do I do? Key smashing on Torinouta.Comment
