WC: Most are just 128-256 bitrate mp3 files, a few megs a pop. I do have "anthem" files like Trance Around The World: Above and Beyond (few hundred megs each) or A State of Trance -- but by far most of the bulk comes from individual files.

Most of my collection is trance, techno, ambient, pop, rock, and classical -- with a healthy dose of video game music somewhere in there. Very, very, very few rap/emocrap files at all.

Regarding Stalain's collection: 972800/99018 = average of around 10 MB per song. Although this is certainly skewed if you have a ton of anthems.

oh ok, only reason i asked is because most people with 200+ GB worth of music have most of it in lossless. i think the longest mix i have is a 3 hours long dubstep mix. my music can be split into two big groups which is metal and electronic music. then a small part consists of rap/hiphop and other

I have alot of lossless, but I know I have around 58.000 songs (Winamp libary)

They're big. A 320 kbps MP3 file has, generally, 12 MB, a FLAC one has 40.
