I watch it because I can. It's a good show, imo, and it's pretty funny. Not to mention, it's damn entertaining. Something to waste my time on when I should be doing homework. xD I'm not a bandwagoner. Never have been. I dislike things generally BECAUSE too many people like it. This, however, is a different story. I like it because I do, and that's that.

Never joined any bandwagon. The first episode IMO was good enough for me, and I guess I'm into it because I have a soft spot for childhood cartoons. I mean, I LOVE Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and this one has the same artist doing this one (I dunno if she also directed/produced Foster's as well, but both are just awesome)

Hey I'm not complaining about the show. It's just you don't often see people ranging from adolescent boys to grown men interested in a cartoon intended for young girls...unless it's something awesome like the Powerpuff Girls. That's completely understandable.

Yeah, fair enough, I'll take back what I said earlier. I'm still a little bit weirded out by how enjoyable I find this show.

I am, however, at least fairly certain that it's not just the novelty of a bunch of dudes watching My Little Pony that keeps me watching. The past few episodes definitely have a pretty steep upward trend, Cutie Mark Crusaders being the exception.

I see a couple of people online trying to explain the appeal of the show by drawing comparisons between FiM and older shows that pretty much everyone adores, and I think they're definitely onto something. Spongebob Squarepants, Fosters Home, PPG, Animaniacs, and Rugrats are all shows which were famous for their use of jokes that the 'target' audience wouldn't get, but their parents would. I mean, didn't Animaniacs have a joke about fingering a guys anus at one point? This show is pretty much the same thing, having the target audience of younger children fawning over the ponies, and then the peripheral audience of older folks laughing at the Lord of the Rings and Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy jokes.

Pretty much this. This is one of the few cartoons that has actually caught my attention lately, and I'm still pretty interested in it even after 21 episodes. Sure, I jumped on the ponywagon as well, but that's because I genuinely enjoy the show and not because everyone else (including CK) does.

Uhm, Animaniacs used to freak me out when i was a kid, but I'd still watch it anyway because I associated the 3 characters with myself, the female being my sister, the taller one being my big brother, and the last one being me. I felt really weird associating myself with him, and I really dont' remember their names because I was slow as a child. :B

Well, rumors are flying around, and I can't guarantee any of this information is even slightly true, but it seems that the copyright claims weren't actually made by hasbro. Apparently, they have toy rights, Faust has show rights. And Faust has said that she is OK with youtube/piracy.

So I guess the current hypothesis around is that a spambot filed a bunch of claims, and once those are proven fake the channels will return.

Time will tell, probably in the next few days. Especially since Faust is always talking with /co/ and DA.

Also, pensivepony has part one of 21 up, and part two is linked on the channel comments as an unlisted youtube video so it won't be taken down. It's a really good episode too. edit: okay pensivepony now has both parts up, yay.
