The tourney is not about how many join. Its about how you manage to make it successful for those who joined. Axel's and mine first one was more or less like this. And look at us now.

We are not the best or w.e but there's been some recognition for our tournaments. And so will happen for yours.

Chill, enjoy the moment. And beleive me, since this is your first tournament you don't want to deal with too many people and the random bickering and such as you have seen in the others :P That comes later. So cheer up dude

But yeah take it easy, the less people, the less trouble you have to deal with :P and a good suggestion might be, that if not enough people sign in to your tournament, you should reduce the number of divisions. Cause a division with only 3 people wont work, imo.

I'd love to join

Probably worst Division, maybe second worst, if the first round finishes after 1 February. Because then I'll be getting a free computer which can actually run FFR, so I can practice and get better

D2 does look fairly empty though.

Divisions are about skill level. D2 uaually starts at about a level 7, and usually most people get SDG (Single digit good) in the first round, And D1 has the easiest songs. Not trying to offend you or anything, just explaining how things work in tourneys

I understand that. If D2 is SDGing a L7 song though, that is higher than what I can do (I can probably SDG a L6 if I tried though).

And I'm not offended at all. I'm just joining the tournament to get practice! I'm hoping I get my new computer soon-ish though, because the lag spikes on this one are horrendous.

If I recall correctly D1 starts at a level 4 (If not, oops. Derp) So yeah, thats where you probably would fit best but once again its up to the people running the tourney. just giving you a heads up haha.

Yeah, at the moment (If I avoid any lag) I can quite easily FC most L4-6 songs first or second try. So I guess I'd be somewhere near the top of D1 then.

Well, let's just see!

(And thanks, but I'll need more than luck to get this computer running if my new one doesn't arrive soon. 512MB of DDR RAM doesn't make for a good gaming computer)

Just read the last page or so. The amount of entrants doesn't mean a tourney is going to be better or worse.

The 2nd annual xmas tourn had over 130 entrants, but only 80 or so submitted for the first round. This number dropped and dropped as people were too busy, forgot, lost interest or cracked the poo's cos they didn't like their song.

Can't please everyone, and it is all about the atmosphere. If your tourn only had 25 entrants it wouldn't matter as long as they have fun with the way you run it.
First tourns are a bit of a test anyways, you're doing fine.

D1 is mostly 5-8 mate
