I think you guys are missing the main point of this thread, lol

I take it that this thread was created more or less for the purpose of gathering new users together as opposed to strictly showing off scores. I still fail to see what's wrong. This thread serves the purpose of new users gathering more confidence moreso than the scores thread would. That's perhaps the biggest difference. It's less of a medium for posting scores, but it's a better medium for newbies to get together.

If someone posts something that's not considered "amateur" by others, why not just tell the person to move to the other score thread? That person would just be dropping scores like Halogen said instead of actually trying to compare to someone else.

FFR scores is a very active thread, while SM scores isn't nearly as active as it was before the site crashed. KBO was effective at giving feedback for SM scores, at least compared to what I've seen here.

Honestly I think this is a huge waste of a thread. Everyone should just post in the regular FFR Scores thread. There's nothing against people of all skill levels posting their achievements.

all in all, the other thread has people like alexdest, samurai, [insert any elite player here that does decent on FMO+ songs] so amateur players get discouraged

this thread is good, the encouragements are nice, and it's probably the only way to get more people to keep playing & training (aka motivation)
because really, the only motivation i had for practicing SM/FFR a lot in 2009/2010 was.. recognition! people recognized me from the 5th official tournament so i started playing a lot more.

also..
if you haven't noticed, all the "elite" players have joined / started playing in like, 2005

notice how nobody "started" in 2009 or 2010 (well, most likely because of time constraints) but you know what i mean.. people haven't been joining.

it's been the same people OVER and OVER again..

time for a change guys, time for us to foster newer players & encourage them, yeah?

Hey guys, lets make a thread where people can post scores that aren't wtf crazy so the lower level FFRers can feel like the can brag about a good score they got.
Pretty sure that's what this thread should be about, not 10 ****ing pages of people fighting about what kind of guidelines there should be in this thread.

How about we just post scores instead of everyone fighting.
