The fact is, in my HS, if you did that, you'd automatically fail the class and be suspended for 10 days.

In college, you'd be expelled and possibly face criminal charges.

On the other side, an idiot who went to my HS (and is since dead from an OD) got caught doing this exact same thing. He said he accidentially turned that in, when it was what he was using as research. He wound up turning something else in 2-3 months later... That particular teacher was an idiot.
      RIP

oops just realised that its over and done with... silly me for not noticing the extra 2 pages on the thread. sorry. And also sorry for the 2 posts next to each other but thought i should explane my error before anyone noticed it .
        It isn't over yet...

This is great entertainment in my opinion. I just want to see what BS he spews next. Your 'friend' just happened to conveniently be an online friend from NH lmao.

I like Mal's idea. Unecessarily destructive, yet effective.

I don't know too many geniuses that print essays off of websites as their own work without expecting repercussions.

Sad thing is that the teacher is treating me guilty until proven innocent and that isn't right,
Except... you are... Kodos to the teacher.

This is your only remaining option.
Haha, that would be so awesome. I sure know I'd accept it for at least half-credit if I were the teacher . But Lupins's actually right, if things keep going downhill, this is your only option to get out without major penalties, as sad as that is =p.

Either they accept it, or slap you then do what they were going to anyway.

Dude, you could copy things directly off the net and turn it in with a sticky note proclaiming "I COPYD THIS OF TEH INTERNETS" and still good full credit in JH (like credit even matters there -_-). I'll admit I BSd a whole lot back then, but it just doesn't fly later on.

It looks to me like we need to set some forum members on fire.

                Or set them on ice.

                Or tepid water.

                I don't care.

Zajac, you're going to hell for this or whatever.

                      'Anon he finds him
Striking too short at Greeks; his antique sword,
Rebellious to his arm, lies where it falls,
                      Repugnant to command: unequal match'd,
                      Pyrrhus at Priam drives; in rage strikes wide;
But with the whiff and wind of his fell sword
The unnerved father falls. Then senseless Ilium,
Seeming to feel this blow, with flaming top
Stoops to his base, and with a hideous crash
Takes prisoner Pyrrhus' ear: for, lo! his sword,
Which was declining on the milky head
Of reverend Priam, seem'd i' the air to stick:
So, as a painted tyrant, Pyrrhus stood,
And like a neutral to his will and matter,
                      Did nothing.
But, as we often see, against some storm,
A silence in the heavens, the rack stand still,
The bold winds speechless and the orb below
As hush as death, anon the dreadful thunder
Doth rend the region, so, after Pyrrhus' pause,
                      Aroused vengeance sets him new a-work;
And never did the Cyclops' hammers fall
On Mars's armour forged for proof eterne
With less remorse than Pyrrhus' bleeding sword
                      Now falls on Priam.
Out, out, thou strumpet, Fortune! All you gods,
                      In general synod 'take away her power;
Break all the spokes and fellies from her wheel,
And bowl the round nave down the hill of heaven,
As low as to the fiends!'
'But who, O, who had seen the mobled queen--'
'Run barefoot up and down, threatening the flames
With bisson rheum; a clout upon that head
Where late the diadem stood, and for a robe,
About her lank and all o'er-teemed loins,
                      A blanket, in the alarm of fear caught up;
Who this had seen, with tongue in venom steep'd,
'Gainst Fortune's state would treason have
                      pronounced:
But if the gods themselves did see her then
When she saw Pyrrhus make malicious sport
In mincing with his sword her husband's limbs,
The instant burst of clamour that she made,
Unless things mortal move them not at all,
Would have made milch the burning eyes of heaven,
                      And passion in the gods.'

Oh, Moogy... The words I have acted have moved me to tears, and this has impressed you... I know nothing of fair Hecuba, and yet I cry for her loss. You feel for the murder of your father, but you are so indecisive that you feel like killing yourself.

                      Analytical bastard.

Wow... Just... WOW... I am seriously laughing my ass off here...

Got back from work just now and I'd figure I should respond a bit to some of your guys' posts...

First off... It's too late to tell the truth about me lieing and everything... That happens, and I'm suspended for at least 10 days, plus who knows what, AND night school... As of now... It's only night school, so I'm good....

As for getting proof, I'm going to google the lines that were cited, and get them from the net... Woot... Easy...

Then with the tech saviness that I have, I'm either going to A) Submit an old essay I have that will be accepted and I can get the confirmation letter from my e-mail, then edit it in HTML from the source to my liking, or B) Mask my e-mail through proxy and send myself an e-mail and print it out (I aint gonna mask my e-mail and send my teacher an e-mail cuz if he replies, well, then I'm screwed)... But yeah...

The whole April Fool's idea... Holy crap that got me laughing my ass off so hard... And lighting the school on fire, sorry, but already suggested by a friend of mine...

And more about telling the truth, NO I will NOT be able to make up the assignment, even if I told the truth at the beginning, I would have gotten a big fat 0... And NO the VP will NOT take it easy on me and feel remorse for me if I tell the truth, I will just get expelled for a while, and it will get me no where (Fuckin' VP looks like Mario, that's why he's always so pissed and people hate him... But seriously... He looks EXACTLY like Mario... I'll seriously take a hidden pic of him next next monday and show it to you guys for your enjoyment and pleasure... lol)

But yeah... I know I'm guilty and all, but what if I WAS innocent and I was being blamed for plagerism, the fact that I'm being treated guilty until proven innocent is not right, nor does it go with school policy, or our friggin' American way of life and society either, so this is crap... CRAP I TELL YOU! (The reason the teacher and VP is having such a hard time believing my awesomely planned out story, is that this OTHER kid stole a paper and got caught immeditely and lied, but lied like crap, unlike my well thought out plan of deceit, and he got expelled for a while and has night school, I on the other hand, through FIBBING have taken away some of the punishment... MUHAHAHAHA!)

Hanyways... I might post one last time tomorrow... But that would be all, cuz then it's cruise time, but mind you me, I will keep all of you updated on the situation at hand this next monday after this coming monday... Things should get spiced up a bit...

                        P.S. And Yes. I'm a genius.

I really shouldn't be bumping this... But its less then 14 days old (its 13 days old), and a bump would be considered 14+ days...
Anyways, chances are, you'll probably do the same thing again... rip an essay off the internet...
My advice to you, is use the structure of the essay, the ideas, but REWRITE the entire essay you rip off the internet... Honestly, the most time consuming part of an essay is knowing wtf you need to write... writing it is the least time consuming part... so if you already know what you're going to write, it won't take long at all... And if you rewrite a stolen essay, then you won't get caught, because there won't be any source they can "google" and look at...
The perfect crime, I dunno why you guys just don't do that from next time >.<

                            Uhhhh... NO.

I'm not going to steal another essay or rewrite this one... I'm changing my topic from what it was before to How Comedy Has Changed Through The Ages... And yes... Murdering my English teacher sounds like a good idea right about now... Well... Not my night school teacher, he's cool, but Mr. Urquiaga (Jerkyfaga) is a bully...

And to pretty much close this topic... Since SOMEONE bumped it... I lied my way out of being suspended and so on, but because I never got proof that the essay was mine (too lazy to mask my e-mail proxy... I was gone all spring break and didn't have time to do it) I now have night school (You don't get homework in night school)... And instead of English, I have study hall, and Mr. Simis roxorz my boxorz... We can do anything we want, except talk, so all yeserday I was just on FFR (Studyhall also means no homework from other classes cuz I'll have time to do it then)... So life aint too bad...

That and I made a thread last night that will show you guys all the work I'm putting into my new essay, without any less than legal means of obtainment... The Essay Is Here...

Today the teacher approached me and told me he would need to talk to me after class... He showed me some sheets of paper (the original essay printed off the website) and asked if I knew what it was... I said No... Then he said that I will be seeing the vice principal tomorrow...

I have obviously been found out and am SCREWED... This essay is worth pretty much 80% of our semester grade, and I am majorly screwed... I know I am an idiot for doing this and an even bigger idiot for getting found out...

Try telling the VP that you waited till the last minute and saw a nice example of an essey you can do. Then you found that perfect essey online and started to right your paper based on that topic.

Thats unless you copied word per word. =\ Then your screwed!

NEVERMIND I SEE THIS TOPIC WAS BUMPED!!!

I knew a guy in highschool who copied a girl's paper word-for-word. Actually I think she just printed off a second copy for him, with just the name changed. That's not the real stupid part of this either... It was for THE SAME TEACHER. They were in different class periods but both had the same teacher... She told our class about it and didn't release names. I found out later from the guy when we were practicing our graduatin walk later that year.. lol What a moron..

And yea... in college, you'd get expelled.
