Oh ha i took japanese though and that is what my teacher said so only following what i learned in class. I apologize for my misinformation. I was only trying to clear something up by telling what i learned as for the nippon/nihon thing i did know that. But i was pretty sure the swastika thing was just a symbol and i wasn't referring the actual kanji for sun. However that was probably my mistake as i never followed up and took a second year. I really should have it was quite fun.

Edit: i also remember it having to do with luck the swastika has something to do with luck but also the sun. I swear thats what i remember hearing its been a while since i took japanese. I remember it has something to do with some festival.

The swastikas was a sign of piece in India and then Hitler used MS Paint and mirrored it to make it an evil sign.

It's America. People will complain about anything that is even slightly resembling something offensive, even if it's not. If they can make it to where they can sue somebody or something, they will.
