Hakumen can take off over 2~3k in less than 5 hits. Patience with Hakumen and punishing whenver possible is mandatory when playing someone like Rachel or Nu who will be playing keepaway for most of the match. He can actually plow through projectiles with his Drive though; not as well as Bang (who can counter->teleport) but it does work.

He's second only to Tager in terms of life points and when I say his attacks have high priority, I mean it. His attacks have so many ****ing active hit frames it's ridiculous to the point where Bang's Drive will not counter some of his C slashes and moves with superarmour (such as Rachel's 2C) will be severely punished.

He also handles pressure much better thanks to the fact he has counterattack inputs unlike the "S-tier" characters who are forced to be plowed in the corner while doing nothing but blocking and taking chip damage.
Hakumen does have insane priority, as I've noticed I can't stop his blade slashes with Carnage Scissors, so yeah, he's got high priority, but once I have him trapped in a combo, he really can't get out, but he does do quite the damage, hence why he's the only one who can possibly have the "It's Over Ten Thousand!" Achievement, so as Hakumen is to power, V-13 is to combos, but overall, if you can keep an opponent in a combo, that will give you a better shot at victory than dealing damage that can be avoided. Once you get an opponent in a 100+ hit combo (which is not hard with a good V-13 player), your opponent can't get a hit on you. But that's why there's barrier bursting and counter assaults.

        Pretty sure SC4 was amazing.
Besides the fact that each character is also very balanced and flawed in their own ways, it's solely down to skill.
But yes, this game sounds awesome!
When is the U.S. release? I'm in NY and wondering if I could get this for 360 at any point.
P.s. in any SSB game the best characters are:
        -Fox
        -Falco
        -Samus
        -Mario
        -Link
        -Zelda/Sheik

That has to be somewhat off, as Mario and Samus are relatively low Tier, and the highest tier character is Marth in SSBM, so idk what you're talking about, except Fox and Sheik, they're high tier. Same with Falco.

It was out in arcade months ago, limited edition console release was June 25th, standard edition comes out July 29th.

Once you get an opponent in a 100+ hit combo (which is not hard with a good V-13 player), your opponent can't get a hit on you.
It's not like that combo would do any damage, 'cause your hits after what, 20 combo would start doing <5% damage?
Why would you put that in your signature? You've lost your signature rights for a month. (You'll get them back on March 10th, 2012.)

Arcade sticks for PC are also neigh impossible to find.

They don't market certain ways without reason. If "the majority of people" really did play on PC, do you think marketing specialists with skills beyond your own wouldn't have already released it as such?

To spit your own words back at you: Seriously... not everyone has or wants to spend ludicrous amounts of money on PC.
Fine, I can agree with that but why say spend lots of money for PC I got a 700$ PC that runs Devil May Cry 4, for example in DX10 mode with all settings maxed... lol.

But why no Wii release then? Does this game require many buttons like SFII for, example? Or is it too graphically advanced for the Wii to handle... which I doubt.

                  Both,

and @Xiao's comment about after 20 hits it does <5% damage, It still does an amazing amount of damage, because I got caught in a 100 hit combo in a match, and after 20 hits I was about 1/5 dead, and at the end of the combo I was dead.

Maybe I had too high of bar for SCIV to jump, but I found that game to be utterly lacking in every damn department except it's 3D graphics. There werenrt any awesome side games, there wasnt a real good story, and the only thing the game wanted you to do was unlock some random looking objects to throw on your character. Unlocking **** was a joke. I mean, at the start your giving something like 4,000 gold and that unlocks 4 characters of choice; one extra run of Story (a whoping 5 matchs) gives you the remaining Arcade fighters. Big deal.

I could go on, but this is a BlazBlue thread, and SCIV is ruining it's smexiness.

Re: The smexiness that is Blazblue

Yeah even though there are tier lists Blazblue is definitely one of the most balanced games ever. Everyone consistently makes tier lists for every game just for the sake of picking out minute differences in ability. V-13 is certainly one of the better characters simply for the projectile sword spam but any well played other character can certainly beat them and the v-13 player has to be good too.

Hakumen is also a good character if played properly he can deal humongous damage if you mess up when approaching him. He is pretty much a defensive turtling character you mess up a combo and leave yourself open that is about a 1/3 of your life gone.

Carl is a very difficult one it certainly takes a lot to master him due to his unique playstyle and very low health so you usually see them on the floor =P

The game has had amazingly great reviews which I am glad about as it really is a well made game and deserves attention.

Also Seth can you give me a official source which says that Blazblue has a release date in Europe? As last time I checked they had no info on if it even was going to.
I'm in despair! This forum has left me in despair!

                          No UK release planned.

UK players either import or stick with GG.

I keep losing to Tager's command throw/DD - and he's only the third opponent.

Played a pal last night who mained Litchi and Bang. Lost 3:17, it was pretty brutal. Good practise though.
