I think I'll end up in D3, but I really hope I'm a high D2 since I can't AAA anything to save my life(2 AAA's above 6's lmao) and have meh PA XD I'm open for actual input though :O

I know I will be in D4 for my AAA count and 95/100 ST's along with a high tier IV status. I'm taking this tourney to get better. Remember guys, if you're a subscriber you have a great advantage as it is. You have mirror mode to work with and it's like you get to pick between 1 file or the other. It's the same song but different arrow locations with the same type of file.

In addition, more speed mods than the typical non-subscriber. Yes, I am aware that there is a link to the beta that anyone can get access to, but I'm going to suggest banning the beta from being used. If you don't do this, you should link the so-called hidden beta link on the front page.

As of right now, the tourney seems unfair. You have to PAY to have an advantage in this tourney.

OMG... listen to the people trying to justify being in d2... All of you are miles ahead of me and i don't see any magical act of god that will put me in d1, so i'm gunna be in a division of people where i don't stand a chance. I can't even fc some 9's, but intermediate to get smashed here i come...

Sprite should do what he did with the av-miss tourney--put a link to an .swf on his site so that everyone has to do the same thing. No mirror, no subby advantages, etc.

AJ is right. And this tourney needs to be at least fair. If someone wins because they have mirror mode available, that will result in an unfair advantaged win.

And to everyone that is hoping to be lower than they've ever been division wise, you will now probably be in the highest division possible for you. I remember when some people sucked and complained about their division. leonid complained about masters on his 1st tourney and what happened? He won. You can get a skill boost from this tourney as lots of people have. You just need to grow up and get better instead of being a pussy and get an easier vRofl token.

The division issue, yes, I agree, people need to stop complaining and trying to get the easy way out and to the prizes. Like you said, most end up pulling scores out of now where that they thought they couldnt have gotten.

The mirror thing I still dont think should matter. People should worry more about playing this for fun with still competitiveness, but no need to have a war before this thing even starts because of one feature that most consider a cheat. I mean 1.0x speed people thing speed mods are cheating because you speed up the song to spread out the notes and make it a easier read, but that is still allowed, we are not all made to play 1.0x speed. So why let this feature be any different.

I am guilty of hoping for a lower division :\ ..I believe most of us are guilty of trying to take the easy way out at some point or another..although I will also admit that I really look forward to improving myself regardless of what division I am put in.

I believe the difference between speed mods and mirror mode is it's availability. The typical speed mods are available to everyone. However, mirror is not. Whether you choose to increase your speed mod is at your own discretion..you're very well aware of that many others will choose to increase their speed to make it easier/more enjoyable for them to play. What I believe the argument is about is the fact that the subscribers get an extra option for them to make particular songs easier for them. The nonsubscribers don't get that luxury, and I don't think you should have to pay just to get such a feature/advantage for a tournament open to everyone at all skill levels.

Where in the OP does it say "If you want to be able to use mirror in this tourn, you must pay us for that feature"? Nobody is telling you or saying that you have to pya to use it in the tourn. People who help out the site get rewarded this feature there for can use it as they please, tournaments include it. If you dont think it is fair, then tough luck, subscribe, help out the site and you will be able to use this gift yourself. But dont try to make it so people who help out the site and are giving this feature that they cant use it due to people who choose not to help the site.

The point isn't that you can't use it because of others not helping out the site. The point is that a tournament is supposed to be completely fair and if one group has access to features such as extra speed mods that another group does not, it's no longer a level playing field.

Now, while I don't think that it will really make a difference one way or the other, it's still a problem at least by principal. I don't think the subscribers should get the entire beta removed, but it makes sense to temporarily disable a few of the features that could give them an advantage.

ok, if it ends up being no beta can be used due to mirror, that will screw up those who use the speed modes in the beta, plus wont stop people from doing mirror they way it was before it was implemented into the game which was the flipping of their screen. So taking it away would not do anything really.

And I'm sure no one subscribes just for the feature. I apologize for making any supporter sound bad, but like you just said, it's a lucky coincidence and an added bonus to be a subscriber right now. You're inevitably going to get complaints about it.

TC_Halogen is exactly right. Make it on even grounds. That way you eliminate as many complaints as you can so no one gets hurt.
