How is it warmer in Canada than it is in Rhode Island.

The week before winter break it hit 12 degrees (fahrenheit) which is the coldest weather I've ever experienced in my lifetime.
Monday and Friday of that week we got school of for... a half an inch of snow!! (Wtf??!!)
Now it's pretty much calmed down in my area, but a short drive further north (if that were possible with their weather) they've declared a state of emergency. o_O

I had an amazingly white christmas here in Sudbury, Ontario.
Got about 3-5 inches on christmas eve, then it snowed a bit more on christmas, we now have atleast over 2 feet of snow.
As of right now, it's ****ing +5celcius which means the snow is ****ing melting, I looked outside, everythings wet and my house has water dripping from the roof (outside that is)Comment

Snow in the desert was a nice surprise... if only I could have a little more. Last year for Thanksgiving I went to Pittsburgh. They have real weather there! And what's neat is the snow downtown was amazing yet it was somehow not nearly as cold as a place like Boston..

Right atm in Northern BC (dawson Creek) it is -1.9 degrees celsius With a warm wind that is melting our 5 inches of snow
Yeah, Vancouver has more snow than us...
EDIT: NOO its warmed up to 1.3 Degress above zero!
